Oh boy, I was born in Muslim family and grown up in the most populous Muslims country the world yet secular. There are always bad and good people in the world. Just like yin and yang. You can pull one story to make others look bad and you also can make the bad ones look good. It depends. For the extremists, they will praise this as high as they want but for true Muslims they will hate this group as much as possible. Just change your point of view and everything will strangely look different.

Ugh, this is so old. Yes there are horrible people who claim to be Muslims, just as there are horrible people that claim to be Christians. We get it. What is happening in NIgeria is terrible. I hope they catch the bastards and string them up somewhere and let the parents of the girls punish them. Why can't we all just admit there are horrible PEOPLE in all walks of life, every race, every color, every religion, heterosexuals, homosexuals, bisexuals....we all have the ability to be evil.

I see tons of coverage of this story, and people all over the world enraged and demanding the girls be released. Are any of those people that are enraged Muslims?Not sure, they just look like people to me...just people.

I have a distaste for all religions and Islam is at the bottom of that list. There are good and bad in any group of people irrelevant of how we choose to subdivide them (a full time job for many on here). What bothers me about Islam is that at this point in time is that the "bad" are able to achieve power and act on extremist beliefs while the "good" seem to have no will and little power to stop them - and worse yet many don't see it as "their" problem.

Today I can walk up to a person with a camera and freely give my negative opinions about the extremists in the christian, Jewish, Mormon and a variety of other religions and have no fear... The same is not true about Islam.

When doing the BS series P&T mentioned two topics they would not touch: Islam and Scientology. Scientology was at the behest of Showtime out of fear of being sued, Islam at their own behest because they were afraid of being murdered. They skewered the pope, the Vatican, the bible, etc.. They dared not touch Islam... Were they wrong to think that way?

I definitely *do* judge a country based on the blasphemy laws it chooses to enact.

Ill tell you what. Let's make it fair. I'll go over to all these other countries and eradicate all the bad things that goes on there, as soon as you clean up the entire United States. Because I don't know why Muslims have to wear our faith like a burden when we have evil right here in this country, yet what's being done about it?

Have you ever tried to walk up with a camera and have a conversation about Islam? About the terrorism that's associated with it? I get it daily in my job. Every time something happens this one lady(devout Christian, right) runs to my office and asks me a bunch of questions, like I was there personally and had some hand in it, or I can make a phone call to stop the violence. There are plenty of us who have no issue with it, as long as it's respectful. But, let's be clear, it's usually not. If you want, you can bring a camera here and we can talk about it all day. Even here, we can't talk about it because it's always the other side that gets nasty, not the muslims. I have my own personal stalker that comes here ever few weeks and attacks me and my religion personally.

You want to talk about extremists? Look no further than this website. There are folks here(non-muslims) that scare me more than any muslim ever would. The ones who are screaming for blood over any little crime. The ones who think death should be fitting for almost anything(playing loud music, walking home at night, etc). The shoot first, ask no questions crowd.

If our country was ran like those, the WBC and any other fringe group would be doing the exact same thing.
