Hi all,

I`m a winner in dv2015 thank god from Egypt i have some questions and need some help

first i don`t remeber how i write my father name as middle name or in my first name to explain it

my name is sherif kamal mohamed, kamal is my father

the name in the winning page appear like this MOHAMED, SHERIF KAMAL

this mean that i write it as middle name? i`m asking so they don`t consider it as a lie when writing ds260

second i have a friend in USA will write his address as green card address should i write his address in the permanent address or leave it blank?i will be in his address for awhile.

thanks in advance

I believe its the software fault ! Since they also anaounce on the dv selectee website, now when you fillup your ds260 make sure you write it correctly, i dont think that will get you any problem...

Yes you can use your friend adress to get your GC shipped over there.

I'm not an official or an attorney!

Its all about a guess work...

I'm just a DVHOLIC :)

Your DS260 MUST be filled in correctly, to match up with your official identification documents. Never mind what you think you wrote on the entry. Fill in the DS260 correctly in every field. Remember the DS form is your application for an immigrant visa: if you knowingly write anything material that is incorrect it can be regarded as visa fraud, which carries a lifetime ban from entry into the US.

Regarding the forms, yes write as green card address and it's OK to either leave your own permanent address as blank or put your friend's address... they don't really mind about this, but they do need address for the green card.

Oops ! i have been reading here and i have realized that i did a mistake in the DS-260 with the name !!!!

- it's bit strange as we are using a "long Name system" in egypt which means that they write (5 names) in the official documents !

- As i was reading the DS-260, i was writing as mentioned Surname, Given name , so how can i correct that ? ( i wrote my full name in my native language as per the passport, however in Eglish, i only wrote my name + father's name + surname.

- As far as i remember, when i entered the DS-260 form for the first time, it was already written in the form as per the DV-entry

- should i call the KCC for this ? or i correct it in the interview ?
