Hi all,

My wife and I reside in the U.S. and want to bring her unmarried daughter and baby daughter (from China) to the U.S. We have gone through the entire paperwork process in the form of the petition, requests for additional information, etc. and lastly the P3 supplement. We are now awaiting a number to become available and then a date for an interview which should happen anywhere from August to December of this year.

I am wanting to prepare a documents and paperwork package for my wife's daughter to bring to the interview. Does anyone have a checklist of sorts of what I need to bring?

Of course, passports and copies of our passports... that's easy. But when I start looking at all of the paperwork we have already received and sent...Do I need to provide a copy of everything that has transpired?

Thanks,

Mugs

the answer depends on whether or not you utilized Electronic Processing at NVC, or no.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

ok. longish answer (and covered in the interview letter, FWIW)

per casefile, stuff submitted into NVC:

1. any tax documents and proof of 2014 current annual income that was submitted with the I-864

2. original, signed I-864

3. original white books:

__a. birth certificate

__b. police clearance certificate

4. certified copy of your marriage certificate with their mother

when you have the Interview Letter in yer email inbox,

set up two accounts at ustraveldocs.com/cn and make a document delivery coverpage (to pdf file) and email it to the oldest child, asking to print out both sets. must be presented on interview day, GUZ P3 supplemental no longer used because of ustraveldocs.com/cn stuff.

other stuff:

1. photocopies of all of the above

2. medical exam packets

3. passports

4. letter from father giving his permission for the children to immigrate, best made into a white book at the same place the other white books were made. Need 1 for each child.

5. photos showing the children and the mom over a period of time, say from birth until the last visit.
