06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

So here is the timeline for my AOS...

-Packet sent 4/14/14

-Tracked packet and was received 4/17/14 (Chicago)

-We received our certified receipt back from Chicago on 4/25/14

-Received receipts from INS on 4/26/14 for

I-130 petition for relative

I-765 application for employment

I-485 application for permanent resident

-Received letter for biometrics appt. on 4/29/14 scheduled 5/15/14

So here is where things get even more exciting. I had been reading through many sources that some people go in early to get the bios taken; I was definetely unsure as to rather I should go in an attempt it or not. It was Thursday May 1st made up myind and took a risk in going in, my appointment was for the Bellflower CA office. I guess they closed at 4pm and I happen to just get there at 3:52pm I walked in and asked if I can have may have my bios taken even though my appointment wasn't til the 15th of May. The security guards were very kind but concerned for the time. They told me that they couldn't take me in since the computer would shut down automatically at 4:00pm and that it was better to come back the next day at 8:00am when they open. So at least i had now gotten reassurance that I didn't have to wait for the 15th of May. The clerk behind the security guards said "plus you still have to fill out this form and it takes about 20 mins; unless you can do it in less than 3 mins..." I saw this as a window of opportunity and said to him "sounds good, I will give it a try" i filled out the form and was taking my bios and picture at 3:59 the computers never shut down at 4:00pm I think like any of us at the end of a long day at work we just want to go home. Though the lady who took my pics and bios did look at the guards like "are you serious? Were closing" kind of look in her face ha ha. I quite didn't care not thay I was inconsiderate but I got here when my parent brought me in 1990 and now being so close nothing was going to stop me. So YES you can go earlier than your appointment for bios. Oh and to top it off after I was on my way home and stopped by my local 7-11 I ran into the clerk that challenged me to fill out the form in less than 3 mins at the seven-eleven and said "that was some determination there young man" Yup I guess it sure was... Sorry if my story was a bit too long than it needed to... Just sharing some excitement. Today all im soing is checking the mail like crazy waiting for my EAD and hope to make it to the SS office before 5pm and apply for my social number to get a license ha ha
