Hello guys,

I have a question about Russian citizen - we are planing event (tour in a few states) with a Russian lector, who need visa to come to Usa.

Could you please tell what we have to do?What kind of visa she will need and what is the procedure?

As you have posted in the Work Visa forum can one presume that this is something he will be paid to do?

Will she get paid?

Will she do the lecturing at university/ church/ event venues?

Who are you/ who wants her to do these lectures?

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

As it is a Company that wish her to sponsor her to work in the US temporarily then it would be up to their Immigration Lawyer to advise which would be the more appropriate.

There may be other options that better fit the specifics of the situation.

Yes the company or university's lawyer would need to fill out most of the paperwork. A O1 seems most appropriate but as mentioned this is not a DIY case.
