OMG are they ashamed you didn't take him and that's why they're lying to their family? :P :P :P

Or... maybe they were embarrased you're taking opportunities of finding a nice job, while he's just sitting at mommy's home, not doing anything spectacular...

Nice? OK, he should get his head examined

But then he's not that tall anymore :P

You're exactly right! on both!

thanks ! I gotta write a good a follow up and hope they can get past the fact that "I am nice" and don't know enough about that particular area...we shall see :)

nah I think the extended family would dislike it if he just stayed at home and did not show up...would make him look bad especially if he did not come to NYC with me...they would all ask a lot of questions so they decided to tell them a lie to avoid having to deal with explanations they could not give really :)

IMHO, you can toughen someone up, but you can't make anyone nice. Be who you are. And if who you are lets you be nice but still get the job done then that's good. I am perfectly happy and smiley with all my co-workers but I know I have the leadership skill (and control habits) to take charge if needed. I've never had someone under me say I wasn't a fair supervisor. In fact I remember getting calls specifically up to the front because I could deal with angry customers and they would walk away happier even if I didn't give an inch.

Just throwing those out into the universe btw. A list of no particular order (talking to kiddo first likely tops it though) of my List of wants. :)

You look so tiny compared to him :P How tall is he?

He is 200 cm and I am 167 cm.

Happy Mothers Day, totally forgot.

Family not here...just hubs...he did not go on their trip...they are telling their extended family that he went to NYC and that is why he could not go...he said my hair looked nice.

Weird that they'd lie like that.

I made pancakes from scratch for breakfast, half with fruit in them. Yum!

Sorry that you don't have those things yet, but they will come.
