08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

The day for the official spreading of my father's ashes is coming up. No one wants to be the one to spread his ashes. Even his wife isn't showing up. Traditionally the family has had the ashes interred, but his wife doesn't want to pay for this. She also keeping the inheritance money of my grandmother, which was supposed to be passed on to the grandkids by my father, but he said after he died his wife would do it. This result was not unexpected at all and told my one surviving brother to expect this, but he's still royally pissed off. So being the oldest surviving son, its falling to me to do the task spreading the ashes. I've never been to an ash spreading ceremony, got no idea what I'm supposed to do, except what I've seen in the movies, which isn't much. :bonk::bonk::bonk::bonk::bonk:
