Its infected with something then. Might not be lyme, but there's no reason to take chances with that.

Before lymes was really in this part of the country, a co-workers gf was constantly having all these strange problems. Allergic to just about everything, or so they thought. Numerous illness bouts that hospitalized her and almost killed her. This went on for years until they discovered she had lymes disease. I don't think she would have lived much longer if they hadn't figured it out.

Oh I remember having Lyme, it was terrible and I thought if they didn't find out what was wrong with me, that I would not go on living like that. It got to the point where I was basically bedridden, having unbelievable joint pain and muscle cramps everywhere in my body, I lost a lot of muscle control - I couldn't cut my own food and barely could feed myself, my cognitive function significantly decreased and I couldn't remember simple things or perform simple addition, etc. I went to the doctor before it got that bad and the answer was I didn't have Lyme because my blood tests were negative and gave me some arthritis meds, went to the ER and doctor said you probably have it, went to another PCP and was told that I probably had fibro and handed me some muscle relaxants, went to the rheumatologist who had no idea what it was, and finally went to a Lyme aware doctor and got my doxy. When I was like a month into the doxy I finally started to get better.

Yeah, no messing around with Lyme.

That coworker's gf lived with it for over ten years. That must have been horrible for her.

Every time I see this thread, i start singing this:

In case it doesn't start where I want, the part starts at 51 seconds. Its been stuck in my head for a few days now.

ETA. I tried to auto start at 51 and failed miserably. Several times.......... Sorry.

Yes, me either. Better than my afternoon will be at the very least.

I love a guy who looks like he could be on Criminal Minds as either an agent or a killer.
