So the kindle wins?

yep. Its a reasonably priced decent tablet. Plus you can buy the old version for a song when you have to provide one to the gumps.

Actually, for some reason, the fooks don't like Cali. They're mostly on the east coast and spreading westwards....

Have the fooks been doing these uncivilized public peeing or pooping in NYC too?

No, people here will speak up, and they have no say. NYC is not a sovereign territory of china. Not yet. People yell at fooks all the time here. They get pushed back as they push, people will tell them to get in the line like everyone else. NYers are a little tougher and rougher than HKers.

I have been reading online and heard from the Chinese co-workers here that the new Fooks are doing the same things in Cali, greatly embarrassing the Chinese immigrant group there.

not sure...I never steamed anything...I don't think I would know how...sorry this is probably dumb. Always ate everything boiled ...be that veggies or chicken or anything.

I need to learn how to steam stuff....lol

It is super simple and so much better than boiling, especially for things like broccoli.

I use this one:

Yeppers, people will tell you off for being a jackass in New York, without a doubt. Might just be a little aggressive. It took me a long term to learn that the rest of America interprets being so assertive and aggressive as instability and anger issues. Over here in polite WASP society we must always say things without saying them and be kind to people's faces while you knife them in the back, very frustrating!

used shops, charity resale shops, garage sales, estate sales, etc etc etc.

Now that you have a bike and a huge shoulder-slung carry bag, the world is yer oyster ;)

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

I know :P I won't be acquiring new things before I have a place to put them so no matter how little I spend...I barely have drawer to put my clothes into and I made that space myself just threw out old high school papers from husband..:D then there is the MIL who probably feels like I am invading her space which I understand...so trying to be as little of a presence as I can be..not that she would ever complain ..she is more passive aggressive :)

But yes...steaming seems like fun.
