:angry: it was a joke. it is in a document protector already still looks fragile but really my comment was more about the whole "i did not know things get invalidated by laminating" more than me wanting to laminate my own.

i ran out of veggies to boil.

not sure...I never steamed anything...I don't think I would know how...sorry this is probably dumb. Always ate everything boiled ...be that veggies or chicken or anything.

I need to learn how to steam stuff....lol

oh ok...cause I was thinking..laminating is not a bad idea...mine is 34 years old and falling apart i would like it laminated but if it makes it invalid I cannot :lol:

glassine envelope, bought at postage stamp collector website

or

a plastic coupon holder multi-envelope.

basically, anything that protects it from spills and most air contact,

but never, ever laminate the beastie.

there are lots of variations, also look at photograph archival storage thingies.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

In NYC, a birth certificate is issued by the NYC OMH dept of vital statistics. Not ny NY state. Does St. Paul or Minneapolis issue their own BCs?

The state took it all over a few years back, that's when the long form birth certificates (read that as real birth certificates) stopped being available.

Plus side was you can get your BC anywhere in the state and even online. Bad side is, its just a simple form, saying yes so and so was born on this day to these parents.
