i did not know that if you laminate your birth certificate it invalidates it for the US. Random thing I just read on upper forums. Good to know.

My state doesn't even have a birth certificate that USCIS will accept now. They no longer produce a long form birth certificate. Even with the raised seal, they won't let you use the one Minnesota has switched everyone to.

I am not myself already...far from it and I see it and hate it. I am angry because it took me a long time to get over things from my past that screwed with my head and now I am back in a black hole.

in other news...I know why I am so exhausted....just read the side effects of the pill..."unusual tiredness" well, i haven't slept well much so might as well enjoy it and sure won't care who is sitting next to me on the bus...positives in negatives lol

oh ok...cause I was thinking..laminating is not a bad idea...mine is 34 years old and falling apart i would like it laminated but if it makes it invalid I cannot

I have no idea where my original American one is, lost I presume, but I do have my original British one - weird that it is typewritten because the one they pulled from the records was hand written.

I put myself in a situation where nothing can be resolved tomorrow or in a week for that matter.

...as stupid as this may sound...I always said you marry someone for better or worse so you should not just bail right away...give it a chance ...change things and see if it changes how he approaches our marriage...if it does not then yes...might as well be done with it.

right now though...all I can do is rant every now and then (sorry in advance) and deal with it when I feel it is the time to do so.

I am not stupid, I see this as a dead end road as anyone else would looking from the outside but I still wonder if he actually does anything when i get a job and when I say "ok...get your GED....and then move to where I am" If he doesn't then he doesn't and I will make damn sure that it was not his mother who handled it all - should he end up with his GED at the end.

Hey, I definitely am not judging, I know everyone was telling me over and over again that my ex-husband was not worth my time and really the only thing that got me to leave was being pregnant and his dog backed into a corner response.

Good thinking getting back on the pill before visiting Steveklar. You don't want another pregnancy scare.

You can use your passport with USCIS. Another part of Homeland Security thinks the Minnesota birth certificates are just fine to get a passport. Makes no friggen sense, but since when does the government have to make sense

ya that is how I work too....till the very last drop....

sidestory: when I was in the US for a year at the age of 14..took me about 5 months of absolute ####### host family before I packed my luggage and sat on the curb waiting for someone to take me away  that woman was ba...shh.... crazy I swear....among other things called me an alcoholic because I drank a tester baileys from a magazine and reported me to the exchange student place...when I told them...they laughed.
