I know. Can't afford to replace it right now to. So I gotta switch to a couple hundred buck one. The thing is hotter than a pistol right now. Kept shutting down and was getting worse and worse, so I brought my gaming computer into the office to fully check it out. Heck the new gaming video cards are cheaper and better today, so maybe its a good push to move forward in tech.

Yes and about 6 years ago to. It still performs pretty darn good though. Think it might get shuttled to a TV computer and a new built shall replace it soon.

I am still thinking...."hey, maybe when I have a job and move out and what not...my hell will turn into bliss and the hubs will decide to get his GED and will find a job...."

hope dies last.

I wasn't happy in my first marriage, my wife went kind of nuts control freak type thing. She didn't start that way. But we had kids and I made my vows, so I was going to stick with it. Then she started threatening divorce and kicking me out whenever she didn't get her way. I finally said fine, you got it, I ain't putting up with this ####### any longer. I'm not a friggen yoyo. I think she was still thinking I'd come back up until the day I asked her to sign the papers.

about 20 years.

(taken from : http://www2.nysun.com/article/74133 )

It's becoming harder to travel for many illegal immigrants these days as the federal government cracks down on identification requirements for boarding airlines and appears to be increasing the number of Border Patrol sweeps on long distance trains and buses.

Yesterday, immigrant advocates protested the sweeps that have made travel by land risky for illegal immigrants who travel on Amtrak or Greyhound within 100 miles of the border.

At a protest at Penn Station yesterday, organizers from Families for Freedom and other pro-immigrant groups also criticized the companies for not warning passengers that they could be deported if they board buses and trains inside the country.

Amtrak said the practice of allowing immigrant officials to raid trains is legal, however, and that it will continue to do so.

Its just a scare tactic show. 18 picked up out of 12 million illegals. Most will get paroled and go back into hiding.

hello! made it safe and sound (although emirates counters in singapore and dubai gave me a hell of a time with my one way ticket...they never heard of a K1 before...). we had a candlelit dinner at home (steaks cooked by j) and he 'officially' proposed to me after. (F) as neither of us like the idea of rings, he got me something else instead. can't share it yet but i love it! we are getting married this friday, may 9th, at the courthouse. happy to report my man also did good by stocking the apartment with lots of chocolate

a bit jetlagged now and can't sleep...caught up on pgs 14-46 of this thread...

oh...on the flight from dubai to seattle, i sat next to a guy who was returning from south africa...visiting his fiance who's about to do her medical and interview for the K1 visa lol. small world.

Hey Kat, why no diamond carrot engagement ring for proposal? :P

Good to know you arrived to US Seattle safely!

I only got a couple of hundred dollar one last time and I think it was about 3 years before it started overheating despite it supposedly having a design meant to mitigate that and its own fan. I guess I should have gone with using a fluid to cool, but I don't game anymore so it isn't worth it.

6 years is pretty long for a pc I have to say.....nice.

My desktops last until I start using them for pieces and move on to the next one. They are hardcore.

I think at some point you have to convince yourself and really truly believe that people don't change and if they were to, they could come find you in your new life and prove said change to you. It never happens that way of course, just a tool to move on.

Speaking of which, I made my husband reschedule his GED tests until later this month because we are way too busy right now.

I wasn't happy in my first marriage, my wife went kind of nuts control freak type thing. She didn't start that way. But we had kids and I made my vows, so I was going to stick with it. I think people forget or because something was tolerated so long they just keep doing it. I threw the Dane out of the house once for a couple of hours over that post-nuptial thing. I hate hate hate when people break big promises. Admittedly, not the best of my decisions, but it allowed us both to approach the situation slightly more logically.

You may end up pay alimony to him from your cushy job while he is still sitting in front of PC playing WoW doing nothing. You are the social security benefits to him ;)
