This, plus some states are enacting "Voter ID" laws, meaning that people have to show a foto ID before voting. Some, chiefly Democrats, are screaming bloody murder, claiming that it will infringe on the rights of illegals to vote. However, we here are an apolitical thread, so I will merely say that Texas' new Voter ID law is a pain in the hindquarters -- one more thing to pull from the wallet besides the voter card, sigh man.

I don't understand what the whle fuss is about.

In Poland if you have to show a foto ID before voting.

And you have to sign the voters list (did I call that right?) before you're offered a ballot.

Every election is the same.

And nobody's protesting against that.

Here's the little guy on our way to the pediatricians he doesn't like the car seat.

He's now 12 pounds 9.5 ounces

Apparently the vote on me and another candidate was very close but I lost....they chose someone with more direct experience in the field.

Gonna go cook now and feel sorry for myself for a couple of hours.

Of note, I have not seen one driver of that extraction (more Vietnamese than Chinese where I am, although Many of each) who drives anything other than a Honda, Toyota, Nissan, or Lexus, no man.

I don't get it either Asia. In Canada it's the same thing, you must show photo ID to vote. No one fusses, it's the same for a city, provincial, or federal election. Not asking for it is simply, imho, saying it's okay to pretend to be a USC.

People at Target look at me like I'm crazy when I ask for ID for certain OTC meds and yet you don't have to show ID to vote... Something is wrong here...
