Welcome to Adult-Hood ! Hint - most of us carry b-6 or b-12 or b-complex in our carry bags, for this exact problem.

I ran out of my vitamins a few days ago. Will be going for more chewies this afternoons.

I love a guy who looks like he could be on Criminal Minds as either an agent or a killer.

I actually don't spank my daughter lol. Last time out was when she was maybe 2. She's a fast learner :)

I figured as much. I just have a very strong willed child and need to figure out what works.

scrub? who scrubs? paint it over !

or go get a huge roll of butcher block paper and let the kid go nuts with it. easier to save the creations, as well.

I did want to do a chalk board wall for her, but daddy think it will cause too much dust which is bad for computers.

1. Egad, scream man.

2. Mini-B. never wanted to be in his crib, not even for a moment.

Many. This is why we pushed the twin up to the queen, squeeze man.

That was Alexis, I have the side rail off the crib and it's up against the bed since i need to keep Lucas away from her.

Papa T-B. said, and it's true, "Touch up one spot and you end up repainting the whole house."

Paint-filled water balloons, whee man.

OK -- out (oot if in Canada) of here till eve, si u man. Evenin', Asia!

I would love to paint the whole house but it wouldn't help

I woke up so peppy and awake this morning. Now I am le tired.

I hate it when that happens

it is hot here today! cracking the windows and balcony doors open to let some cool air in.

I wish I knew what warm days felt like.

That is why she is still in our bed, all hell broke loose when I tried last time. We have a king size bed with a crib for the little guy pressed up to the bed. I still barely have any room to breath, but I think we are disturbing her at this point.

My child doesn't get bothered by a spanking she will turn around and tell you not to hurt her bum! Time outs don't phase her either, I have a "high needs or spirited child" as they call it. She is all new territory for me.

I put my daughter in her own room at 3 months, she started climbing out the crib at 9 months so I got one of those Ikea kid beds and probably from then until she was 4, I had a child lock on her door so she couldn't get out. Up until recently and even recently, any leaving her alone in the house was followed by sheer destruction.

My daughter is high needs, but in an incredibly sensitive way - she cries, a lot. More than a lot. She won't play the soccer she was signed up for because her delicateness can't handle having male coaches and every time anyone attempts to make her swim on her own in the past 2 years of swim lessons, she cries. Part of it is manipulation but part of it is anxiety and almost terror on her part towards whatever is going on. Hard to walk a delicate balance with what to do.

I was that way as a child though, when my mother would try to spank me, I'd just turn around and hit her. I have no advice because my household ended up being one in which I set my own rules for my behavior and my mother had absolutely no control or any idea what I was doing.

3/2/18  E-filed N-400 under 5 year rule

3/26/18 Biometrics

before my mother retired, she was definitely a tiger mom. if we got 99 out of 100 for a math test, and the one mark was lost to carelessness, we'd get one smack from the cane on our palm or bottoms. 98, then 2 smacks, and so on. she wasn't mean or abusive in any way, she would hug and kiss us after and explain to us why she was punishing us, and it must have instilled fear of some sort in us, because after that, we were much more careful in our homework!

also, there was no such thing as 'not wanting' to do something. it was just 'too bad, just do it' and if you didn't, you got punished. don't want to eat dinner? ok, go hungry until you agree to eat the greens. don't wanna do chores? ok, just stand there until you're willing to help dust the furniture. no games or books or tv in the meantime, etc. no amount of crying or wailing would help.

one thing i've realised with my nephews is that they aren't afraid of being punished. they say 'whatever' if you revoke their tv or game privileges. we weren't like that as kids...i wonder what changed.

In US, it is called child abuse if you hit or cane the kids.

The old traditional ways of child rearing do not seem to work any more.

Done with K1, AOS and ROC

Yes Alexis is very sensitive. We have a female pedi, and a female ped dentist. She would freak with certain male waiters if they talked to her. It's very weird as she has 3 older brothers. We used to have to be very careful of facial expressions too.

I've been doing a lot of reading trying to figure out a new way to discipline her.

Don't confuse corporal punishment with child abuse. Corporal punishment is not illegal. It's not illegal to spank your child or even rap the palm....

It's the intent + injury that makes the difference.
