That's just the way dogs think. If you're not there, you don't exist. If you return, they do the you didn't die dance.

You want me to send my guys up there to finish? It'll be done quick. Get a hotel room for 2 guys....labor is cheap.

Trophie I'm serious

We've got a contractor we've used to do other things in the house who volunteered to come over and give some pointers and/or lend a hand with some workers, but right now it is more an issue of just dry time. Because the marble is going on ditra it is going to take a while to dry, then the marble needs to be sealed, then grouted, well, you get it.

I primed one of the walls today and he is laying the floor now. I'll take a picture if I can, but we will have a toilet upstairs by Friday (mother has yet to pick one out), hopefully the vanity and fixtures as well. If he needs help after his parents come, I don't think it will be a big deal because his dad tiled the entirety of their 1600 sq ft house and did a lot of work on it.

My mother won't pick out a paint color until everything is in, which makes it difficult, because it is pain to paint around vanities and toilets.

Sorry Kit, that is a lot of stress with a new apartment rental and you not being able to work yet. If he does lose his job, you might be able to get an expedite on your EAD.

Oh, I know, I wouldn't ask and I would insist that he didn't. I think they had planned on helping us with our new house when they came to visit, but our plans changed. I meant more in terms of advice, if needed. I think we should just need to put in the medicine cabinet and do a little painting, so shouldn't be a big deal.

Good luck on avoiding the culls to Jonas. There's a reason both work and boss are 4 letter words.
