Hi.I came in USA as a visitor 6 years ago.My passport and visa are both expired. Ive never left a country,now im married to US citizen.Can i apply I-130 and I-485 together and What is a chance for me to be approved?Im worrying that i might get deported or denied.Thank you

No,i never commited any crime and have a visa and I-94 as a proof of entering legally with inspection.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

Yours should be a straightforward case of AOS. Even overstays are forgiven for USC spouses that file AOS within the US. Note that you cannot leave the country while your petition is pending. Good luck!

11-30-09: GOT GREEN CARD in mail!!!!!!

Citizenship Process;

1/11/2013: Mailed N400 to Dallas Texas

3/11/2013: interview.. Approved

4/4/2013. : Oath! Now a U.S. citizen!

I was in the same situation as you are in now. File I-130, I-485 and I-765 altogether and start gathering proof that your marriage is authentic. Good luck!

Yes, overstay id forgiven. I overstayed 13 months and was never even discussed at Interview. You are a straight forward case. good Luck.

Besides marriage certificate We have pics,affidavits of friends,dental insurance on both names.we r recently married,is it gonna be enough proof?

  • Beneficiary
  • Joint credit cards
  • Joint bank account
  • Joint car insurance

You will receive a list of what to bring at the interview. Anything that shows both your names will be helpful. They also look for pictures of you with family and friends. You still have a lot of time to prepare for the interview. Best of luck!

No finance together,dont have any accounts .our families is far.btw its impossible to have finance without ssn.

You can be added on a lease without one ( I was on lease without one) and some banks allow you an account without one. You can also be added as an authorized name on any utility bills. I was added onto my husbands online account for his cable and light bill without SSN. You can also file joint married tax returns without SSN.
