Greetings friends,

My fiancee and I have embarked on the k1 journey and I just have a few questions:

1. The I-129F was approved by the uscis, (yes, checked online and everything), in a total of two months time. Will this speed up the k1 since it said online to expect 5 months for them to process it or is this fairly common? I know all cases are different I'm just anxious as you all can imagine.

2.I will have to move within a month. How do I tell them that I need a new mailing address and that the location of where my fiancee will be housed will be different? Do I need to tell the uscis (remember, they already approved it) or do I inform someone else? Should I ignore that her destination is different and only change my mailing address or is it a critical step?

3, I am worried I'll miss something from the new office after the uscis, (sorry, I am having a brain fart at the moment), do I just need to call them in case I never received it at the right place?

Thank you all in advance :)

The 5 months is an estimated processing time for the I-129F only. It can take longer or be approved faster than that. How long it takes to get sent to the NVC and then onto your consulate, and schedule an available appointment will vary and depends on the consulate timelines.

Check your consulate's website for the instructions for your consulate. They may mail something, send an email or have the beneficiary pick up instructions and forms in person. Different consulates have different requirements and procedures. Contact the consulate about how it works for you and to let them know when her address changes, if they need to snail mail anything to the beneficiary.

Hi,

I would like to ask for advise in filling the G325A Employment for the last 5 years.
My fiance is a carpenter , worked in odd jobs ( carpentry works) and was paid in cash within the last five years,
what should he put in the employer's name and address field. Can he put in Odd Jobs as source of income based on his Income tax declaration? Is is necessary to enter his clients names?
He got work insurance last year so he is working self-employed then.
Hope to hear from you soon.

Name and address = Self-Employed

Occupation = Carpenter

List the date from when he began until present. No need to list all the contract jobs separately.

Hi,

He worked for 2 years as carpenter working Odd jobs ( carpentry works) and paid in cash, those short term projects like fixing roofs, siding, house renovations.

Can he put in Odd obs for those two years?

By the way the term Odd jobs is what he declared on his Income Tax. Can he use that on the G325A form?

In addition, he did not have work insurance at those years when he was paid cash, so he is worried if he entered Self-Employed, they with check the Tax declaration

He was working odd jobs, getting paid in cash, no actual employer. He was self-employed. How I answered above is still my answer. He will have to show his tax information to sponsor you, so he should get his taxes corrected and straightened out with the IRS now, if he is worried about that.
