Max, my bad, I was wrong.

That's what the answer to my email says:

Dear Ms.......,

Thank you for your email. The document which he needs to provide is called a military book, which he has to obtain from the local military district where he is registered. He will also need to obtain a police clearance from Ukraine if he lived there for 6 months or more. All police certificates must be less than 12 months old when presented on the interview date. The US government does not recognize church marriages which take place in Georgia as legal documentation of a marriage. If a marriage is documented by a Civil Registry or legal authority in Georgia however, then the beneficiary would not be eligible for a petition of this kind.

Best Regards,

Consular Section

No problem, it happens.

I was worrying about it a bit. i had no problem getting PC in Baku, it is free and completed the next day, but the one from Russia takes at least a month and most of the time even more and it costs money and PAIN in the butt to get:( Go figure, RUSSIA... UGH

Less worried now tho, thanks:)

Just called NVC again for an update. My case was sent out on 3rd July, and judging by the information on the CEAC tracking, the embassy received it yesterday. It now says "ready"!

Agh this is so depresssssinnngggg. I'm with TSC and in for a looong wait. :( The only good thing about this is that I can continue working and paying off my student loan.

Everyone is asking me when the wedding is, when I'm moving, why am I not with my fiance .... I am tired of answering these questions and it's only the beginning! 2 months and another who the hell knows how many more to go.

The backlog at TSC is frighteningly close to 10,000 and getting WORSE! One can only hope that they send half of them to CSC or something.

Holy #######, fellow TSC filers, please help me stay positive.

Just shooting you straight... brace yourself for a long wait! I mean seriously... Have a talk with your fiance and make some kind of a game plan for what you guys will do separately over the next 5 months or so in case it takes that long. I know it's hard- especially when you weren't expecting it. We sent our application to TSC in February and haven't heard anything back. In May my fiance was denied entry into the US because of her pending application. Things are constantly changing... The thing that can't change is your relationship. It has to grow stronger or you won't make it.

Sorry for the tough love but it's coming from one person who wasn't prepared for this to another, haha... After we finally admitted to ourselves that our application was going to take A LOT longer than we expected things started getting easier.

In May my fiance was denied entry into the US because of her pending application..

Whaaat! :( that's my worst fear!! That must have been so awful.

I'm going to visit my fiance in August and I have nightmares of not being allowed to cross. I take a plane out of buffalo because it's cheaper for me to visit him, but they can be so horrible at the border crossings from Ontario. And the money I spent on those plane tickets were not cheap. I am going to be so stupidly prepared for them to ask me questions. With pay stubs and my return flight receipt and the K-1 visa receipt and etc... heh.

Yeah, it's almost harder being away from them when you've just been together. So the longer we go without seeing eachother the easier it is. After my trip in August I wont see him until the next year or until this visa process is over. Whatever comes first..... :/

Will your fiance try to visit again? Or have you since? That's just cruel to make you wait this long to do this legally AND deny you visits. Cruel.

Was your Fiance denied specifically because of the petition or did she fail to have proof of ties that will bring her back home? Has she been denied since? I dont want to leave folks with the impression that is all doom and gloom. A Canadian citizen should not have a problem visiting but should carry evidence of lease , job , school or family ties to home.

The content available on a site dedicated to bringing folks to America should not be promoting racial discord, euro-supremacy, discrimination based on religion , exclusion of groups from immigration based on where they were born, disenfranchisement of voters rights based on how they might vote.

I understand your anxiety, I feel it as well. You may want to use the project adjudication time on your time line ( should be about Oct /Nov) to adjust your frame of reference.

You should not have a problem visiting if you are prepared. Use this guide and you should feel comfortable traveling:

My fiancée had her interview at the Mumbai consulate yesterday and visa was granted. The interview was quite smooth , though it took a couple of hours to finish the process.

Passport with visa on its way ! We are quite excited that we'll be together soon.

Good luck May 2014 filers !!
