I'm so happy! Been a very long journey this far so just the best feeling that things finally moving. We started this in November last year but problems with documents we forgot and they didn't tell us all papers they needed so every time we called they said a new thing then they misplaced our petition so we had to send it in again. And we have a newborn baby so hopefully soon we can all be togheter:)

Where in AZ do you live?

Yay congrats! Glad to hear things are moving along so quickly for you :)

Did you just count 10 business days after your NOA2 and call? Or did you try calling before then? I'm at this stage of the game (NOA2 on 10 June) so I'm a little anxious to find out the timeline for these next steps.

Thursday 29 May got our NOA2, we first called NVC Monday, 9 June and they said that don't have our file yet, then we called again on Wednesday 11 June and we received the number. What concerns me now, after we got the number, the process with sending the package at the Embassy will be fast or slow? Because that woman told him to call them back in a few weeks to see how the process is going. Also he asked if he can track the case online and NVC lady said "no, just call back" ... but I can track it on CEAC website. I just hope to see "in transit" ASAP

Our check has been cashed! :dancing: 6 days after the petition was received!

And - Yahoooooo!!! - the paper NOA-1 has been received today on June 14th!!!!

Dated by June 9th.

I have immediately checked the receipt # at USCIS website and read:

On June 13, 2014, your Alien Registration Number was changed relating to your I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please check our website at www.uscis.gov for further updates on your case. Please wait until the end of normal processing time before calling customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for live assistance.

Now I have some questions, guys.

1. Are they going to send me another letter with that Alien # for my fiance'?

2. How can I have my timeline show under my posts? I have filled it out in my profile, but it doesn't show yet.

you will see your fiancé's alien # on your NOA2 notice. 'Alien # changed' message is a misnomer. In fact, the beneficiary just gets a new alien #.

Another question - how do I know which service center the petition is being processed at? NOA doesn't say that, does it?

I-129F petitions currently are processed by the California Service Center (CSC) and the Texas Service Center (TSC).

In NOA1 the Service Center where your case will be processed at will be clearly stated. NOA1 includes a file number also which begins with 3 letters and has several numbers after them:

WAC = CSC

SRC = TSC

It basically depends on where in the US the petitioner lives.

California Service Center processes I-129f petitions for petitioners residing in: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Guam, Hawaii, Idaho, Nevada, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, Wisconsin and Wyoming.

Texas Service Center processes I-129f petitions for petitioners residing in: Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, U.S. Virgin Islands, West Virginia and the District of Columbia.

http://www.visaearth.com/k1_faq.html

CSC is very fast (~1 month) and TSC is slow as hell (~6 months).

Good luck! :thumbs:

Another question - how do I know which service center the petition is being processed at? NOA doesn't say that, does it?

If I remember right, it is in the bottom left hand corner of the hard copy. It will show the center and the address. I am going by memory and while away from home so don't quote me on that :).

You may have also received an USCIS Acceptance Confirmation email that would tell you where it was routed. The first paragraph would appear as such:

"Your case has been accepted and routed to the USCIS Texas Service Center for processing. Within 7-10 days by standard mail you will receive your official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) with your Receipt Number SRC149016XXXX"

As pointed out above by Miss Diamond...your file number will begin with a WAC or SRC....WAC is good and SRC is not so good....

Hello everyone,
I'm not a may filer but my fiance sent the papers on june 10th, and the post office said the package should arrived on june 12th. It's june16th already, and we still havent heard anything from USCIS. Should we be worried? is there any way we could know or ask if USCIS got our files?
Thanks in advance, i hope everyone gets good news asap :)

Well the process of k1 seems to be quite frustrating for having to wait but if becoming patient is just as smooth.

I congratulate and pray for everyone of you and please be patient , your papers will arrive, some fast some a bit slow.

It will depend on your background check , individual process of your fiancé's home country and whose file is touched first. Don't stress. Your case will be processed as determined by the USCIS.

Congrats in 3 days time you will get status READY. However, before u receive packet 3 you can already ready documents listed in accordance to your foreign fiancee's website (packet 3 is a printed copy of that page). The most important form being Affidavit of support. Scanning will not do , make sure this form is personally couriered or mailed to her by the time she receives packet 3. This will make your process faster.

Best of luck :D
