this is the worst possible situation....ever.

2nd worst, trust me.

He may tie me for first if she files VAWA.

Thanks for the update. can I ask why it was a waste of time and effort?

Seems like you having your daughter would be worth it all.

She has a green card so she can help support our child.

You filed for her green card before divorce or she got it through VAWA?

Done with K1, AOS and ROC

I was going to suspect this child wasn't his either and found out after he got custody.

OP you seem to be so amazingly resilient that your child can only benefit from your strength and perseverance.

Did some homework and she would not be deported with a child born in US, so I went with her to the green card interview and she passed, got 10yr. Can you imagine if she has no means to work and I have to support her and our child? We are divorced now I have full custody, she moved out of state. I'm happy she's gone, happy with my daughter. Responding to the other person's post I just wanted to let him know how a problem can get out of hand, from bad to worse. This is not exactly what I thought I was getting. It's OK, I just want to warn others that some people from poorer countries will tell you anything, and everything will look good till they get here. Divorce in USA is expensive

Having a USC child wouldn't stop a deportation. Anchor baby myth. It'd just push her down the list a little.

Are you saying you basically committed fraud?

Going to the green card interview just for the sake of the green card (so the ex-wife can support herself and her daughter) and despite not having a bonafide marital relationship (marriage on the verge of breaking down, deception and lies regarding paternity, etc) smells like fraud to me.

Check my timeline for K-1 visa & AOS details

2016-Sep-15: ROC application received & signed for by Lakelieh

2016-Sep-19: $590 check cashed by USCIS

2016-Sep-20: NOA/ 1-year extension letter received in mail

That sounds like good news to me. Its best for your child to have 2 parents' support. Even if you have the worst spouse on earth, and you have no relationship with her...its still the child's mother. So its her duty and right too be there for your child in common. That's how I see it. Even if you have full custody, she should pay child support as the non-custodial parent.
