Twitter Blows Up With Racist Reactions After P.K. Subban Scores Game Winner In 2nd OT

DETROIT (CBS Detroit) Boston Bruins fans blew up Twitter Thursday night following the team’s 4-3 overtime loss to the Montreal Canadiens.
P.K. Subban ended up scoring the winning goal in the fifth minute of the second overtime.

Fans showing disappointment would have been completely understandable. But many of them took it to a whole other level, seeming to follow in the footsteps of Donald Sterling.

Because of our corporate policies, we can’t put profane language on our website, so here’s a summary of just some of the tweets we found:

– That stupid n***** doesn’t belong in hockey #whitesonly
– F*** YOU N***** SUBBAN YOU BELONG IN A F****** HOLE NOT AN ICE RINK
– PK Subban = F****** N*****
– F*** PK Subban. F****** n*****. Wish he got sold
– subban is the definition of a n*****
– Someone needs to smack PK subban across his big n***** lips. #scumbag

I can find 20 tweets right now that advocate that the earth is flat.. We have 300 million people empowered by technology to blow random thoughts that anyone and everyone can read. Every stupid thought thinkable is out there... Trolls with agendas sift through the mountain of garbage looking for something to hopefully cause controversy and give them hits.

Actually it's not common knowledge. Not every black person calls each other the n-word.

I'm a Bruins fan, I always have been. What was posted was horrible, and shameful. Unfortunately, there are horrible people in the world...and some of them are "fans" of sports teams. Just look at the Dani Alves at the Barcelona game the other day. The day is coming though, when those of us who pay no attention to race, color, sex, religion, out number the hateful people of the world....or at least I can hope its coming!

I think we do already, but the focus will always be on the minority(no pun intended).

Actually it's not common knowledge.

I take it back......It is common knowledge for people who are not deaf. I did not say all blacks or even the majority of blacks call each other N******. Get your head out of the sand.
