WASHINGTON – If China invaded the Japan-held Senkaku Islands, U.S. Marines in the Pacific would swiftly recapture them, the commander of marines deployed in Japan assured.

If the USMC was given the mission, they would do it, within hours, or die trying. The US Army is a little more methodical, doesn't like causalities, and likes to control the battlefield. Marines, on the other hand, don't spend a lot of time with that sissy thinking thing, just fixate on a target, hit fast, and overwhelm the enemy.
