  1. 1. Is the USMC known for talking out of its back side?

    • Yes. China would eat the Marines alive and the Marines know it.
    • No. If the Marines say it, they mean it. China would be well advised to exercise caution.

WASHINGTON – If China invaded the Japan-held Senkaku Islands, U.S. Marines in the Pacific would swiftly recapture them, the commander of marines deployed in Japan assured.

“It’s a very, very small collection of small islands,” the U.S. military newspaper Stars and Stripes quoted Lt. Gen. John Wissler as saying Friday at a breakfast with defense reporters in Washington.

“You wouldn’t maybe even necessarily have to put somebody on that island until you had eliminated the threat, so to speak.

...

The Senkakus ... fall under Japan’s jurisdiction in the East China Sea. China has repeatedly sent ships into Japanese territorial waters near the islets to assert its territorial claim.

The US is no more going to get involved in this dispute than Fonzi was keeping happy days alive after jumping the shark. You're anti-China, that's cool. You should try a visit there and see how it works.

That's like telling someone from Detroit they should visit Newark.

If the USMC was given the mission, they would do it, within hours, or die trying. The US Army is a little more methodical, doesn't like causalities, and likes to control the battlefield. Marines, on the other hand, don't spend a lot of time with that sissy thinking thing, just fixate on a target, hit fast, and overwhelm the enemy.

You do know that self-declared conservatives have a hard-on for Communist and other totalitarian regimes, don't you?

Fascists worship strength. In the case of the ChiComs, the illusion of strength.

They are corrupt, ain't so good on human rights, speak in circles, but they get things done a helluva lot faster than the US ever could.

And Mussolini made the trains run on time.

For China, strength is not as important as patience, perseverance, and numbers. India should be scaring the ####### out of China in a decade or so,

Given the news story "India's army spent six months watching "Chinese spy drones" violating its air space, only to find out they were actually the planets Jupiter and Venus." I wouldn't be too worried if I was China
