Wow, I have offically moved into this forum.:dance: I'm just filling out the AOS and related docs and was wondering if the passport photos here need to be stamped with the date on the back considering that they need to be less than 30 days old?

Also, what are the chances of me being able to get my SSN changed to my married name considering that my K1 visa is to expire on Jan. 27th? If it is unlikely, I'm still going to fill in my number on all the docs even if it is in my maiden name, right?

And finally, when my husband (who will only be using his income - no one elses) is filling out I-864 - Affidavit of Support - under Part 1, #1 he would check off the box next to a) "I am the petitioner. I filed or am filling for the immigration of my relative" or is it d) "I am the only joint sponsor"? the wording seems to be iffy on these things

Thanks to all!

together2love,

No.

When your visa expires is not relevant. Being EA and having your name match what is in the USCIS SAVE data base is relevant. The number is yours and will not change when your name does, so use it when it is asked for.

Alright, so got the name changed on my SSN, but still need to know when my husband (who will only be using his income - no one elses) is filling out I-864 - Affidavit of Support - under Part 1, #1 he would check off the box next to a) "I am the petitioner. Thanks again.

together2love,

Well,

- is your husband the Petitioner?

- is he the Joint Sponsor? (In which case, who is the Petitioner and Sponsor?)
