Hello all!

I've noticed that some of you May filers have been going to job interviews while your Combo card is not yet on hand. My question is, how soon did you guys do the job hunt after biometrics? What do you say to the employer on an interview given that you don't have your Work permit yet?

Thanks for answering! I am a June filer and is done with the Biometrics. I am thinking of starting to job hunt as well so any insights from you guys would be appreciated.

I had my bio end of june. Started look early july. Had a lot of calls they all wanted someone to start asap.

Got my ead card today :) and have some interviews lined up now

We mailed our package 5/5, it was received 5/7, and we got the NOA1 5/12. The check got cashed, too!

I just went to the social security office today to apply for a ssn. yay :) should get it in mail in 1-2 weeks.

I have also been sending out job applications, hopefully I will get a job somewhere, it's really stressful, especially when my husband is going to school for a year now so I should get a job asap!

6/10/2014 RFE regarding my birth certificate(It was their own mistake, my birth certificate was exactly what they need)
6/11/2014 RFE response mailed to USCIS by our lawyer
6/11/2014 I-485 status moved to Initial review after telling USCIS our new address
7/2/2014 I-485 status moved to Testing and Interview

7/21/2014 EAD to card/document production yayy :)

7/22/2014 AP status chagend to post desicion activity

7/25/2014 EAD combo card mailed

7/29/2014 EAD combo card arrived at my old address(address was changed TWO times before that, even by my lawer and USCIS still had my old address)

-my parents-in-law are sending it to me overnight

Travelled to Finland with my husband for 3 weeks in August. Came back with my Advance Parole, POE in Chicago, no problems with AP.

10/7/2014 Interview date

10/8/2014 I485 status moved to card/document production! HAPPY :)

How is everyone who got their EAD getting on with finding a job ?

My main problem now is not being a US Citizen, I worked in IT security back in Ireland.

But most places here you need be a US citizen as they deal with federal and government clients.

Does it ever get easier really lol

No, I never got an interview date yet :(

Mine changed to testing&interview on july 2nd.

I guess st paul, mn offices is one of the slowest ones, so i probably have to wait a while to get an interview date... at least i have my EAD/AP.

I also went to apply for a SSN on friday, hope to get it soon :)

Just curious as to what time of the day people are getting updates on when the EAD goes into production?

K1 AOS:

May 22nd: Sent away AOS package Day 1

May 27th: Notification via text/email confirming receiving package. Day 5

May 29th: NOA's recieved on 29th May Day 7

June 2nd: Biometrics appointment for June 16th arrives. Day 11

June 16th: Successful Biometrics. Day 24

I've also got some 7 years experience in database development. I think at this point, I may have sent my resume and maybe spoken to just about every recruiter in Houston. It appears that if you have not worked in the US before, you may not be good enough. Nevertheless, I'm going to keep my head up.

Interview is next Tuesday, we're hoping it goes well. We have a family vacation this weekend just to take the pressure off.

Well it did no good calling USCIS, they told us to wait till August 19th which is the 90 day mark. Now it is past 75 days since NOA-1
