I've seen acceptance and initial review for so long it feels like it's never going to change.... -_-

Entire month with NO updates sigh

So stressful x_x;;;; feels like they have skipped over mine or something? and forgot?

Oh well I was lucky with K1 and didn't have to wait long so I guess now I have to wait xD

Don't worry Otter~ they won't have forgotten about you. We got through the K1 process really quickly and at about the same time, so like you I'm prepared to wait much longer this time. However having said that, one of the JULY non-expidited filers got moved to Testing & Interview yesterday! Why do some applications race through like that and not others? I thought they processed cases 'strictly' by NOA date. Maybe a few quick ones helps to keep their 'stats' looking good? Who knows! I shall go on waiting patiently in-line but I can't help (secretly) hoping that mine turns out to be of those racers too!

Good luck everyone!

If the local office isn't busy, they can schedule the interview a lot faster. It seems like the Alaska offices go really fast!

xD! I would be willing to wait longer if I didn't have a trip planed in September and if I wasn't so bored out of my mind... but mostly it's anxiety. It is kind of overwhelming to see people that filled after you go by faster, then again... I am sure that happen to others when they saw us go through K-1 process so fast, so I guess we shouldn't complain. :P

Right! Remember all those poor K1 souls being processed at the Texas Service Centre that were taking FOREVER, while the California Service Centre petitions flew through! I read recently that there is a new immigrant to the US every 40 seconds - that's a lot of people to deal with!

I shall go back to waiting quietly and patiently :-)

Received our RFE letters (received notification of RFE on Monday by text and email, so not too slow!), and they asked us to "provide a certified copy of your marriage certificate or a legal copy of your name change".

It's utter crazyness, because I actually sent the original copy that was given to us at the court house, which made my wife upset (because she wanted to keep the original).

Can't believe it's something so simple, that we already provided them. Well, it's easy to correct, just down to the courthouse to get copies in the morning.

If anyone see's any fault in my logic, please let me know.... Maybe it just SEEMS to easy....

go to the court and ask them for those papers, we sent at first place certified copy and legal name change paper (at court they give you a bunch of papers when you ask).

I am guessing since you sent the original, you sent that with I-485 application.

And this RFE is for I-765 and I-131 application since you did not attach a certified copy of marriage certificate with that application, assuming you had only one original. As far as I understand both applications get processed at different locations and different offices for most people.

Though this just an educated guess.
