wow, you already received your EAD card...mine is still on acceptance and my i485 still on initial review...

so stressful waiting, i always try to make myself busy but i cant help to think about how my case is doing...every morning, i always pray that i already have my good news just like everyone else woken up by a good news that their case were moved to testing and interview or they already have their interview schedule...always, excited to check the mails hoping that they just forgot to email and text me and just send me the notice for my scheduled appointment...before i go to sleep, still hoping that their system were just logged the whole day, reason that ill be receiving the notice late at night....but still....none.... :'(

im sorry everyone for venting my sentiments here.... :(

I was in the same position the status online said RFE and I hadn't received any RFE in the mail.

I called USCIS to be told it can take up to 14 days to receive the RFE in the mail.

I finally received my RFE 10 days later and responded to it 2 days later.

Then 2 days later the status changed to RFE response received - reviewing etc etc .

So just over 2 weeks in total.

I wrote to my congressman. Not asking him to expedite or anything, just informing him of how long, ridiculous, and expensive this thing is for people trying to do it the right and legal way.

Be interesting to hear his comments.

No offense intended but you K1 folks and other marriage visas have it ridiculously easy compared to us other FB types. My application went in in 2003. Try losing over a decade waiting!

Although, your point to your congressman isnt lost on me. It IS a ridiculously long wait.

No offense taken.

I wasn't trying to say that K1 is harder than whatever visa AOS you have. It is all about the process being this long for legal immigrants, when it seems like they are rolling out the red carpet for illegal immigrants

Yeah, I would agree. For example - I'm grateful to be already living here legally for the last 10 years but in another sense, since I own a business here, employ Americans, have already gone through background checks, fingerprints, interviews etc for my current visa, you would think someone like me shouldnt have to wait 10 years to get a 'permenant' status. I think each and every one of us has the right to be irritated about wait times and procedure.

Anyway, back to check the mail box again...lol
