Hi guys, since this last post, I called USCIS. They told me that they were going to send a service request to my service center and I should sit tight for 15-30 days. I also contacted my senator's constituent services and they said they would "look into it as well". Finally, I also made an infopass appointment for this coming Monday and will raise the issue there, hopefully they will be more responsive.

Anyone had an infopass appointment before? I am wondering what to expect.

Most recent update:

My wife and I went to the service center today (July 14) for our infopass appointment. The officer was really nice, and explained to us that their office is really backlogged, which is why we hadn't received our biometrics notice yet. He then asked my wife for her passport, and he stamped in a green card renewal stamp for another year, and just told us to hold tight.

When we got home, lo and behold, we found the NOA/biometrics appointment letter for us (processed July 9), along with a letter noting that it was issued pursuant to our earlier service request. Thus, from the time our I-751 was processed (May 21) to then (July 9) it took us about 7 weeks just to get biometrics!

My wife's biometrics appointment is July 23. Hopefully, everything will go smoothly from here on out.

The day you are approved is the date that counts. If it is after your 2nd anniversary, you get the 10 year green card. Note though that if your interview date falls before sept 5th and you ask to be rescheduled, you could add 2-6 months to your wait time.

@ Achraf.. A friend of mine went for her interview and she was one month shy of her 2year marriage anniversary, the officer she had on her interview went ahead and still have her the 10year one. I'd say it depends on your officer or luck of the draw.

So can i Request the Schedule IF it's before September 5th or they'll just deny the request ?

Is it a good reason to request the reschedule or it should be something more serious ?

Do you get Approved or Denied the Day of the interview or you have to wait ?

@ Achraf in my opinion saying you want to reschedule your interview so it is AFTER your anniversary is not a good reason to reschedule. Most people who request a change, have proof that they are gonna be out of town (trips abroad with tickets, hotel bills and so on) or their spouse will be unavoidably absent but always with documents to back up the claim. Also a family emergency is another reason to reschedule. I advise to just attend your interview whenever it is scheduled and afterwards you could ask (no telling if it will be granted) for the 10 yr GC if it is days/weeks to your anniversary.

Hello Guys,

I wish i found this website sooner. I have been worried sick that my paper work is taking too long to get processed until i read through the thread and realized i wasn't the only one worried. I hope i updated my timeline the right way and we will all move to interview soon.

wow, you already received your EAD card...mine is still on acceptance and my i485 still on initial review...

so stressful waiting, i always try to make myself busy but i cant help to think about how my case is doing...every morning, i always pray that i already have my good news just like everyone else woken up by a good news that their case were moved to testing and interview or they already have their interview schedule...always, excited to check the mails hoping that they just forgot to email and text me and just send me the notice for my scheduled appointment...before i go to sleep, still hoping that their system were just logged the whole day, reason that ill be receiving the notice late at night....but still....none.... :'(

im sorry everyone for venting my sentiments here.... :(
