Americanlife: theres no way you can verify if a letter is being mailed or not, only if the USCIS officer confirm if it was actually mailed or not, you should try call them and confirm first.

wow this forum exploded with new posts the last couple of days! yay! for me it's been a week today since my AOS changed to "testing and interview" I was hoping to get another notification today saying that my interview letter has been sent in the mail but nothing so far. I wonder why they moved applications to the this stage if the letter will take much longer to arrive. I know I sound a bit impatient but being in this sorta "safe" stage ( no RFE for I-485) gives some false hopes that interview is next and soon. Oh well, at least things are moving along fine.

I just called the USCIS and the lady would not transfer my call to tier 2 officer, regardless of what I told her...smh!

Now, i don't wanna AOS anymore, they should send my documents and monies to me!.... (that's what I feel now!)

Friend dont give up, you still have to keep trying, or try infopass, you have come this far, why give up now?

I just got rfe notification, dont know what it is for, I hope it is something I can get.

Vjnew, I dont think you wil get RFE, you got your NOA before me, so hopefully your file must have been sorted out, I am just guessing.

I didnt see it coming cuz I mailed everything they ask, so I am not sure if some clown lost some of my supporting docs? I hope it is something I can get

Maybe ur docs not lost maybe they need additional info from u.anyway there is always a chance to get rfe anytime before interview

That's not good. Some of them can be really impolite.. I remember when my husband called them back before I flew to the USA/we got married because we bought my ticket before actually getting my passport back (because the lady at the embassy promised id get it in time) he got told to call NVC, who told him to call USCIS

the person who answered the phone was really rude to him and so he asked to speak to a tier 2 person. The guy was very reluctant to transfer to a tier 2 but eventually did and that guy apparently was worse! They must have had a bad day or something.

It's bad that they wouldn't transfer you, though. In my husbands job if he refuses to transfer to a supervisor you get in a LOT of trouble, maybe call back and say you wanted to talk to a tier 2 and previous person refused to transfer you.

Listen when you call the uscis and you get to speak with someone. Directly ask to speak with a level 2 rep because level 1 rep doesnt have the authority to look into your cases that a level 2 has. Simply tell them that they cannot help you because what they are reading from is what the website shows( some would insist they can but dont let them). Mostly all the level 2 reps says that the website isnt reliable and it updates when it wants too. I mean this process isnt free for us and we have every right to call and be transferred when we ask to. I suggest you call back because if you missed the biometric appointment your AOS would be denied.
