Had biometrics today! Really simple, they take your appointment letter, you fill out a form they give you, and call you over for fingerprints and a photo! You're allowed to smile, the lady said ^^

Bring the following!!

-interview letter

-an ID

-marriage certificate (this one is more for us girlies, in case you don't have an ID with your married name :)

I also asked the lady some questions about AOS!

She told me that Nebraska is back logged. It could take anywhere from 2 months up to 8 total!! She told me the biometrics go to a database to be checked, then once you're all clear there they continue processing.

She said the reason they get transferred sometimes is to try to balance workload, but they still sadly get back logged. The reason some go to CSC (which she says they now go to NBC instead) is if a case can be adjudicated without needing anything extra from the applicant and their spouse in an interview. Depends on how busy they are too :P

They had a really nice place in SLC too ^^ easy to find.

Also! For future reference: the lady told me that they dont mind walk ins, but keep in mind you will get seen after all the scheduled appointments. we were about an hour later and she said it was fine and I told her we were gonna come the other day and she said it would probably have been fine if if wasn't too busy :)

Blah still on acceptance, last touch 3rd of June xD

I was hoping they'd be a touch after biometrics but not yet

I dunno like, I wanna be able to try to relax and forget about it for a while, but what with people getting these surprise RFEs in the mail without seeing an online update worries me a bit :C

Otter it looks like most people get their RFE a week on either side of the biometrics date. I dunno if that is accurate but scrolling through the April and March filers it seems to be what is happening.

K1 AOS:

May 22nd: Sent away AOS package Day 1

May 27th: Notification via text/email confirming receiving package. Day 5

May 29th: NOA's recieved on 29th May Day 7

June 2nd: Biometrics appointment for June 16th arrives. Day 11

June 16th: Successful Biometrics. Day 24

My first impression is that ASC Oakland CA office don't allow walk-in's. I guess I am just very lucky.

My EAD has finally gone to initial review :dancing: Just an update for everyone because my status hasn't change even when i receive my RFE or even when I reply to RFE

-I am the Beneficiary-

K1 (I-129F) petition filed in August 2013 (Approved Feb 20th 2014)
13th May 2014: AOS (I-485) & EAD/AP combo card
21st May 2014: NOA 1 and biometric letter
11th June 2014: biometric appointment
13th June 2014: RFE received via mail
16th June 2014: replied to RFE
6th August 2014: EAD Approved, AP still in initial review
12th August 2014: got tracking number for EAD
( ) August 2014: Received EAD (I forgot what date I got them but I did receive them less than 5 days from the 12th)
10th September 2014: Interview Waiver received (I wished I was interviewed)
April 23, 2015, we registered your permanent resident status and mailed you a Welcome Notice

So on the 25 th my online status changed to rfe.

It said they mailed the rfe that day the 25th.

I still haven't received anything in the mail.god I don't have the patience for this #######.

Omg.sorry to hear that.i hope its nothing big .keep us updated when u will get RFE .

Seems like everybody gets RFE.it makes me nervos too.i jusr done my biometrics and i dont want RFE :'(
