Hi! We are doing all the paper work with a lawyer, because last time I applied, I got denied because of a missing document(birth certificate of the joint sponsor). So yeah we dont want to make a mistake anymore :)

Papers were sent out April 30th, and they arrived in Chicago May 1st.

The check was cashed on monday may 5th, but still havent got any NOA's.

Does the three month processing time start from the day they cash the check or when?

thanks! good luck to everyone! :)

I am using co-sponsor and did not send in birth certificate/passport. Do I need to send those with packet? :(

Yeah you are supposed to send proof that the joint sponsor is a us citizen/legally in the us.

We never saw anywhere either that you are supposed to send it. So, we got RFE for that( you probably will too).

And we did our RFE wrong.... We messed up with the sponsors, they asked for my husbands tax info, and then for my joint sponsors birth certificate. But we made a mistake and sent my husbands tax info AND his birth certificate... Not my father-in-law's birth certificate/passport copy who is the joint sponsor.

What a stupid mistake, but oh well cant do anything about it anymore since there was no appeal to the denial.

We just had to apply all over again. Hopefully it works out this time :)

Good luck everyone!

Oh, sorry to hear about your first application. Are you using the same co sponsor as K1 visa? I am using the same co sponsor as my K1 visa so I hope they are not asking for proof since they already have that the last time

Shipped my AoS on 5/1, FedEx tracking says it was signed for at 5/5, still haven't received an email or text (I included a G1445) nor have they cashed the check. Beginning to worry, it's been over ten days since they had it. Is such a long wait time without getting a text or email normal? I saw others in this thread with the same shipping date have already received their NOA. What worries me the most is that the check hasn't been cashed, I'm afraid the whole package got lost. :(

No NOA notice here yet and we filed on May 1, but I've read on here that sometimes it can take two weeks to get in the mail so I will try to be patient! At least we know it's in process and we have the case numbers from the texts and emails but I want those NOAs!

Hello. Did uscis acknowledge your application ?
