Well I assumed that's what happened because of what it says here in the AOS guide here on VJ:

"After the National office completes initial processing your case will be referred to your local CIS office where you will be interviewed for your permanent residency or be transferred to CSC. "

So I thought that meant it went from Chicago to a local office/or get transferred to CSC. Didn't realize there was an Inbetween place. (Though I think EAD/AP get sent elsewhere to be processed)

I wasn't certain so that's why I said ' I think' and didn't say for sure. :P Didn't wanna confuse anyone, so I'm sorry C&R if I did give you incorrect info, but I know that's the $1070 including the biometrics is correct ^^

Don't worry about it! :D

And as long as the AoS gets processed, I don't mind in which Service Center it ends up!

VJnew, you haven't send your package that long ago. Do not freak out. xD I am sure it will arive this week! :D The average is 10 days, which for you it's tomorrow. So be patient. ^_^ Try to think about something else, and keep yourself busy. :)

I sent on 05/09, reached on 05/12. Still no reply.

how long you've been waiting to apply for AOS?

I don't think it has anything to do with how long you have been waiting to apply, average are still the same. I meant no harm, was just trying to help. I know for a fact the more you think about it the worst it gets. Again, I was just advising to try and distract yourself. I don't understand why you are trying to pick a fight with everyone. x_X This is a forum to help each other, I don't think anyone means any harm. Try to relax (and again.. I DO NOT mean this in a bad way!).

How long have I been waiting to apply for AOS? I do not understand your question. I got a k-1 moved to the US, got married and applied for AOS. I do not know the specifics of your case, but everyone is still here on the same path, with the same rules .I don't see the need to go crazy and attack others because they are telling you that you are still on the average timeline and that you should try to think in something else. Believe me, I know how it is to drive oneself crazy about something and the anxiety building is overwhelming. If you do not like my reassuring, then ignore me, or just say thank you but not thank you. No need to get defensive...

I sent on 05/09, reached on 05/12. Still no reply.

Again, ALL I said was the average is 10 days.... There are some that take longer and some that take less. I do not control the time frames, I am sorry you are in that situation, my post was directed to someone who was still in the average time frame.

And like I have mentioned before, I have even seen a case where a VJer received her biometrics letter before her NOA. Not saying that's the rule, not saying it's okay, just saying it does happens. I was, by no mean trying to be rude.

All I can tell you is, I am sure you will get it soon. Did you have a tracking number? Was it signed for? If it was, then I am sure it's just backlog. Someone got lazy, or maybe another file got place in front of yours. I REALLY hope you get it this week.

-----

I honestly do not understand all the drama in this post, I don't think anyone is out to get anyone... x_X Can't we just get along and stop fighting... this has been a huge source of support for me in the past, and I don't see why it needs to be any different now. I am sure we all have enough with the stress and anxiety of our own individual case to have to worry about silly fights on the forums.

>_< I am sorry if I offended anyone... x_X I usually try to write with loads of happy faces, to avoid people miss-interpreting my words.... But I guess it didn't work this time. 0_o

So, is anyone with me? X_x About dropping the drama and getting along? If not, and if that's what you'd prefer, I can just stop posting here... x_X

Anyway, sorry for the long post. And sorry to everyone who had nothing to do with this.

Let's hope to get some more NOAs and Biometric letters soon! ^_^

My AoS was transferred to Nebraska, I hope that's not bad news. There's no such mentioning in the EAD status online, though! I don't mind waiting for the greencard, but I do hope the EAD comes soon.

Also they're talking about a fingerprints fee in the AoS online status, which is weird, I guess that's referencing the upcoming biometrics?

Mine also says it was transferred to Nebraska . Im in Vegas.

I am not judging you! I was just trying to be nice... x_X Which clearly totally back fired... Saying to distract yourself with other things is not being rude last time I checked. It only takes your mind off of things. And saddly we all have to wait, regardless if we can or can't wait. So your best bet is try not to obsess over it. (Again, just a FRIENDLY advice). And I am the second person on this thread you've gone after x_X and I honestly don't think either of us meant bad. I am sorry you had such a bad experience/life (IDK) before filling AOS, but you are here now so let us make the best of it. We are here for you! I hope we can be friends instead of fighting >_< I really don't like fights. =/

I could be wrong, but maybe it is just where the AOS applications are processed before they get sent elsewhere ^^ all I know is apparently it's a really good sign if you get transferred to California because that means they aren't going to make you have an interview :P
