Do you have a social security card?

If you do, all you need is to have 2 letters that proofs your address in order to take the written test, road test, and your diver's license would be issued to you with no problem.

No i dont have anything.i guess ill get SS after ill receive my GN.Am i right?

https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/Dashboard/CaseStatus.do I go to that website. Once you get your noa1 it will give you a case number. You can create an account, and log in, and get the updates. I hope

We mailed our package 5/5, it was received 5/7, and we got the NOA1 5/12. The check got cashed, too!

You are right. And even before that, when you receive EAD you would have to go get social security number since you'd need that to pay into your social security fund whiles you work.

Hummmn...

Any letter from USCIS that proves that your status is changed can also be used (for instance, a letter that contains your alien number)

I had my biometrics appointment in Detroit today!

5/1/2014 USCIS received our papers
5/6/2014 NOA Date for all my applications

5/29/2014 Biometrics done in Detroit
moved to Minneapolis, MN June 10th
6/10/2014 RFE regarding my birth certificate(It was their own mistake, my birth certificate was exactly what they need)
6/11/2014 RFE response mailed to USCIS by our lawyer
6/11/2014 I-485 status moved to Initial review after telling USCIS our new address
7/2/2014 I-485 status moved to Testing and Interview

7/21/2014 EAD to card/document production yayy :)

7/22/2014 AP status chagend to post desicion activity

7/25/2014 EAD combo card mailed

7/29/2014 EAD combo card arrived at my old address(address was changed TWO times before that, even by my lawer and USCIS still had my old address)

-my parents-in-law are sending it to me overnight

Travelled to Finland with my husband for 3 weeks in August. Came back with my Advance Parole, POE in Chicago, no problems with AP.

10/7/2014 Interview date

10/8/2014 I485 status moved to card/document production! HAPPY :)

Our received and NOA dates are identical! It will be great to compare notes. Did you already get married and then plan on having a big wedding later?

Yeah we already got married, but the big wedding is going to be in Finland after i get my AP! Hopefully asap!

It seem most people get their texts/emails about a week from when USCIS recieve their papers, so VJnew I think since they received ours on the same day we should be getting our NOA next Monday or maybe even this Friday :)!!

-30th oct 2013: sent I-129f package

-1st nov 2013: package arrived at lockbox

-6th nov 2013: received noa1 email/text

-8th nov 2013: alien registration number changed

-15th nov 2013: noa1 hard copy arrived

-19th nov 2013: noa2!!!!

-17th dec 2013: nvc receive

-23rd dec 2013: consulate receive

-15th jan 2014: medical done

-3rd feb 2014: found out interview date via email

-7th feb 2014: received interview letter

-14th feb 2014: interview APPROVED!!!!!! <3

-22nd feb 2014: visa in hand

-26th feb 2014: POE New York JFK

-26th feb 2014: together <333

K1 journey over! Next stop AOS! married! :D

i wish i wish.its horrible when u dont have even a case num and dont know whats going on with ur case.

Is it normal that my AOS status is still on acceptance?

Should it already be on initial review, or does it move to initial review after biometrics are done?
