I got a RFE for a birth certificate. Here is what it says submit a copy of the applicant foreign birth certificate issued by the appropriate civil authority.

do you think they misplaced it or they need something different than what was sent. do I call them on Monday before send it?

As I don't know what birth certificate you have provided to USCIS but make sure you have stamped and also have translated to English , so either you forgot to notarize or stamp by civil authority of your home country. Make sure your certificate have done those or they won't accept your RFE document.

May 23 , 2014 - Mailed I485 Package to Chicago

June 10 , 2014 - E-mail , TEXT RECEIVED and check cashed.

June 14 ,2014 - NOA receipt I485 hard copy in mail.

June 16 , 2014 - Letter in Mail for Biometric appointment July 2.

July 1, 2014 - RFE received

July, 2, 2014 BIOMETRIC done

AUG 17, 2014 EAD in production

Aug 18 , 2014 Mail the RFE to USCIS ( Nebraska Service Center)


Aug 21 , 2014 USCIS E-MAIL , Text received for RFE review

Aug 28, 2014, Received EAD


Sept 3, 2014 case moved to "TESTING AND INTERVIEW"

Sept 9, 2014 Text and e-mail received INTERVIEW DATE for OCT. 17, 2014 :idea:

Sept 11, 2014 Received the Interview Letter in mail - OCT. 17, 2014 (F)

Oct, 17, 2014 Interview ( went well ,but no decision)

Oct 22 , 2014 Received Text and e-mail , GC go to production

Oct 28 , 2014 Received the Welcome to United States letter

Oct. 28, 2014 Received e-mail and text USCIS has mailed the GC today. YA!

Oct. 30, 2014 GREEN CARD in hand!!!! :luv:

We mailed our package 5/5, it was received 5/7, and we got the NOA1 5/12. The check got cashed, too!

It seems like something wrong with USCIS.

I sent out i131 (Sept 23)separately from the package cuz after I received interview waiver letter (Sept 15), I think there is no way that I would get GC for travelling to visit my parents for this Christmas. However, it's over 4 weeks now that I don't even receive a notice of Acceptence. It's supposed to be max 10 days for sending to Lockbox in Chicago.

I called to them last week. They said try again this week there is nothing show up in there system yet. That's insane !!!!

I know. They are freaking slow.

I finally got my reference number from the phone. Lol I just called to them again just now and the guy said the letter of acceptance has been sent out on Oct 10. Gosh...!!! For confirmation letter from Chicago lock box used to be only 10days max to receive it. Now it's going up to 4 weeks. Man....!!!!
