so my interview letter came yesterday and my interview is on 09/30. Yes I'm happy but I thought they normally send you a notice a month in advance? On the USCIS website my case is still on initial review.. If you're still waiting like I was and checking your status every min.. don't rely on their website too much coz you might end up with an interview letter/waiver in your mail like I did!

We had our interview on the 5th . Appointment was for 3:15. We arrived around 3pm . Checked in and was not called until around 4:30. We were the last couple and waiting room was dead empty.

An officer called us and took us plus lawyer in . We sworn in and seated.

Our files were open when we went in and he then asked for our passports, birth certificates , Driving license (both citizen and foreign spouse ).

The officer told us that we have lots evidence and asked if we wanted to give him anything. We handed him letters from friends and families, he read it briefly . He checked our joint checking account carefully and told my spouse "I am gonna ask you questions, when I am asking you questions, your husband cannot answer , or give your any hint or nod " and he said the same thing to me.

He asked my husband how we met, does he know my families etc...

Then he asked if we have joint sponsor , we said no. He asked if I were working , I said no.

He then asked the yes and no questions . I thought he was gonna question us more but he said "I am going to approve your case today, but I have to run a local check , I"ll approve you later tonight or tomorrow morning "

I couldn't believe how smooth it was, but after all, our relationship is 100% real and we've been together for 6 years.

Then I haven't receive any update , probably because it was the weekend. Today I received email saying that my case is approved and they sent out the card!
