do u have an idea when will be the second draw? thanks

In DV2013 there was one around October, but there was not one (as far as we know) in DV2014. If they really have selected 125k selectees - then they probably don't need the second draw anyway. DV2013 was 105k selectees and they added around 5k more in the second draw. DV2014 was announced in the letter at 125k but then when they published the selectee/country stats - there was 140k.

At this point Rusta its anyones guess as to how OC will turn out. I was selected last year and am a low 2k number, I have gone from "Hopeful" to "All is Lost" to "We are going current" to "Pass the Vodka and Chocolate and lets see what happens"

Haha, I think I've been through all those states of mind as I've browsed the internet over the past 6 days! But yeah, on board with the Vodka and Chocolate, seems to be the best way to deal with the uncertainty :) .

Am I correct in thinking that I can apply for DV2016 this year as well? Y'know, just in case.

Agreed. Given Nigeria coming out (lots of cases and LOTS of holes) I am surprised the numbers are even as high as they are for AF.

So, did they send the "re-check" email to everyone? :(

Born in Romania, been living in the US since 2007 (F1 visa)

F1 visa 2007-2011, 2011-2016 - OPT received August 25, 2014

DV-2015 Selectee - Case Number EU30,7xx - Interview estimate: May/June 2015 (?) - Might try to do AOS though it looks like it might be worse this year

I don't think it matters whether or not they did, and with 9m applicants they may still be going out.

What matters is that you have rechecked your entry!

Haha, but it does, I was banking on people forgetting to check! If they sent that, they might as well have sent a reminder to everyone... (yes, they're still going out, I'm an S and I just got mine, but someone posted the same thing here almost a week ago so I'm guessing they got the email then)

Hi All, after many years of trying I managed to get picked for DV2015, I have been reading up about the case numbers and I am OC21XX so a bit concerned going off previous years that might not even get a interview. I think about 3500 from Oceania have been selected so I think I am just over half way in the list.

Phew, someone else who is 21xx! I think that the 3499 number in the July bulletin includes family members in the application so there are around about 3499/1.6 case numbers in Oceania = 2186 case numbers. Therefore I think we're quite far down the list. Don't despair though, we'll get a good idea of what chance we have as the last few visa bulletins come out for DV-2014. It's gonna be a long wait either way before an interview, like August/September 2015.

Do you know if there is anywhere can see previous years Oceania numbers by the month? Does Current mean that it is basically open for all who received a letter will get a interview if apply? My girlfriend also got selected and she is 23XX so we might be towards the back. I don't mind waiting (and saving) as long as confident will actually get the interview
