There were higher CNs, but they did not get a chance for interview before FY end.

Remember in those days the US was booming and it seems everyone wanted to move there.

OC has been a confounding situation this year (DV2014) so watch the VBs of the next three months to see what happens - that will hopefully give you clues for what will happen in DV2015.

In any case your interview is many months away - probably August or September of 2015.

What has been the confounding situation? I'm fairly confident that I'll be OK because Oceania has gone current the past ten years.. I guess I'll just have to wait and hope.

OK, so you may not have noticed that OC got DOUBLE the selectees as previous years (no extra countries or anything). THat would make you think (as I believed) that the quota has been increased and that may actually be the case. However, the progress this year has not increased at all - in fact it has even been slower than last year. So - they have twice as many interviews to do, but they don't do them any faster than last year so that here as we wait for the last 3 VBs they have only processed about a third of the applicants.

If "it'll be OK", why are they storing up all the work for the last 3 months of the year....

And to be clear the doubling was from DV2013 to DV2014 - we do not know at this point how many selectees there are for each country or region in DV2015. That will probably be published in August (the September VB)

At this point Rusta its anyones guess as to how OC will turn out. I was selected last year and am a low 2k number, I have gone from "Hopeful" to "All is Lost" to "We are going current" to "Pass the Vodka and Chocolate and lets see what happens"

Hi, does it shows your name included on status if you are not selected, because I am having issue with website, most of time it tell me that my confirmation number wrong and after sevral times trying it says that I am not selected without including my name on the notice,any help will be appreciated

That notice for those not selected does not include your name. What the link refers to is people who saw a you have been selected letter, but with no name. Some other people were also told they were not selected and that was not accurate BUT that issue is now resolved. SO - you have not been selected. However, keep your confirmation number because they may do a second draw (although I personally don't think that is likely).

I think you are in the most sensible mindset now - just be careful with the vodka - it messes with the brain (see Sloner for example).
