hahahahaha ...

Amazing that they screwed it up again. I think their website is run by the same team who run the other forums.

So, this is strangely 2012 like....

selected 1st May 2013/ CN= 2014AF00070xxx, forms sent, waiting for the second letter.

selected 1st May 2014/ CN= 2015AF00009xxx :dancing: , forms not sent yet ....

Aug or even september, juste wait until the beginning of next July, you will see the last DV of the 2014 then you will be fixed, they selected the same number in 2015 so most probably the number will be the same next year...

OK, so the conclusion is that in order to get an idea of what the likelihood of actually winning the lottery in the case you were selected, you need to check the Current Visa Bulletin, which you can find here.

In the All DV Chargeability Areas Except Those Listed Separately column you will find the upper limit of the case numbers that they are interviewing this year, for each region (check the right column too for exceptions). So, if your number is below that number, chances are somewhat good that you'll get an interview next year (the lower the better, obviously).

Also, there's an easy way to check the previous years' and/or months' visa bulletins provided you are a little bit computer savy. Look at the URL and replace the month with the month you want to see. Also, replace all years (2 occurrences) with the year you want to see.

For example, May 2014th visa bulletin link is http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/law-and-policy/bulletin/2014/visa-bulletin-for-may-2014.html

so to see june 2013 you should replace the things in bold with http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/law-and-policy/bulletin/2013/visa-bulletin-for-june-2013.html

and then press enter.

(I'm sure there's a better way but this probably requires the least typing / clicking)

Born in Romania, been living in the US since 2007 (F1 visa)

F1 visa 2007-2011, 2011-2016 - OPT received August 25, 2014

DV-2015 Selectee - Case Number EU30,7xx - Interview estimate: May/June 2015 (?) - Might try to do AOS though it looks like it might be worse this year

Vladek has posted a link that has a spreadsheet with the history that is easier (can't find it now but I am sure he will repost it) BUT not all numbers on that spreadsheet are accurate, generally should be ok though

Hello everyone!
I have been selected in the Diversity Immigrant Visa Program for the fiscal year 2015. Case number: 2015EU00007XXX. What do you think about my chances?
Also I am confused a little bit, for the "Country of eligibility for the DV Program" I selected Romania, because I was born there. I also have dual citizenship (Romanian, Hungarian).

In the DS-260 from, I need to give my nationality and my passport number. Unfortunately I do not have a passport from my Country of Eligibility, but I have a Hungarian passport.

My question is, that if I can use my Hungarian passport if I selected Romania at "Country of eligibility for the DV Program". I also have birth certificate which indicates, that I was born in Romania.

Use whatever passport you want as long as it's valid. You prove your eligibility, in almost all cases, through your birth certificate as it is dependent on birth country.

I have read thru this particular forum but could see anyone who were from the South America/Caribbean that actually won. From the current Visa bulletin for May 2014 if we can compare it to that my CN 2015SA000015XX will be called for earliest June or July and for the latest august 2015.. Have i estimated it correct?
