I asked that because you said fiancé implying you would get married anyway. So the situation is this: if you marry before the interview, you send updated DS forms and a copy of the marriage certificate to KCC. They will want to be sure it is not a "green card marriage" so you must take evidence that it is a bona fide relationship to the interview, but it sounds like that will not be a problem at all. Then if your fiancé-then-husband gets a GC, you get one too. If you do not marry first, he goes alone and becomes an LPR. It is then a much longer and much more expensive process to get you over; he will also have to be able to show that he is earning enough to support both of you before any such application is approved.

well, yes, i wrote fiancé for this! thank you so much Susie for you answer, now I feel really better about it, I was just worried it could affect his application but if they just need to check we're a real couple it's just ok, as we are a real one! <3 So, sorry for bothering you again, do you know any link where I can find which documentation should I provide (in addition to the marriage documents, of course)?

Thanks! finger crossed :) (hope my fingers won't get broken as i'm crossing them since we found out he won the lottery - but with a not so low case numberr!)

There's no link of standard things but generally things like photos of you two in different places/on holidays/with friends/special occasions etc, if you live together mail addressed to each of you at the same address, phone/email/Facebook etc evidence of messages etc going back some time, if you had an engagement party pics of that, pics of the wedding including all the family, and so on.

I promise I won't bother you again, but as far as you know, which documentation should I proved and which forms should I fill then? It's the same as the DS260 or something else? I'm asking because I'd like to start colleting every documentation and information needed asap!

Thanks! :clock:

The DS260 of the principal applicant will need to be updated with info for the new derivative if it has already been sent in, and a new one for the new wife (both these only after the marriage!); and email a copy of the marriage certificate to KCC (be sure to include his full name, date of birth and case number in the email so they can match it to the case file). Everything else re photos etc just take with to the interview.
