OP the members here are just concern, I find this site very helpful since our K1 application to AOS. And speaking as a completely third party observer with no personal interest on the matter, I'll just give my opinion as a Biologist who have attended med school. Can an ultrasound tell if you are 2 weeks pregnant? The answer is NO. The number of weeks generally go by your last menstrual period, so 2 weeks would be around the time you'd be ovulating or in other words 2 weeks after the first day of your last menstrual period is when the sperm fertilizes the egg...that means you wouldn't even have an embryo yet. If you mean 2 weeks after conception, it's possible an ultrasound might be able to pick up a gestational sac but won't see an actual embryo until you are at least 5 weeks along. And most doctors would like for you to wait until 7 to 13 weeks before doing an ultrasound.

And for the expedite case in K1... I know that they expedite cases from the Yolanda victims. I'm not sure about pregnancy though, but you can try. Good luck!

We should not be judgemental, things like these does happen and its possible for pregnancy.

In today world with technology we can know the moment you are pregnant.

No we can't know the moment. Technology isn't up to everything really.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

The "moment" you are pregnant? As in, three days after the fireworks flew? Or the ten-ish days when implantation occurs? How about those women who still test negative when they're pregnant because their hormones are still low?

Two weeks after pregnancy would put her around ovulation (because that's how the medical field likes to count), and a negative test would've been guarenteed, and then you've just created pregnancy-inception. You can see how everyone was confused.

I agree. Normally, when women don't expect to get pregnant, they will only know or start to begin worrying if their period is delayed for a week or 2. That means, about 5-6 weeks from the last period. Now, I don't have experience with being pregnant myself, but informing you she is pregnant after 2 weeks of leaving her side is a tad too suspicious.

I have nothing against being reunited with our loved ones asap (after all, we here all came from the same experience), but please, firefighter, do tread a little more lightly. Understand that people only voiced their concerns. Things like this happened and has been reported here, more than once even. You seem like a nice person, but there's just too much scams especially from 3rd world countries, PH being one of those. And I do feel bad for those clouded with love.

As mentioned by others, pregnancy is not a ground for an expedite. Good luck with your journey!

No one is being judgemental, people are stating fact. I posted a link with proof that a 2 week old pregnancy isn't visible on an ultrasound, even with doing a transvaginal ultrasound. If members want warm and fuzzy answers and everyone to sing Kumbaya and tell them everything is going to go as they want it to, they are in the wrong place.

The fact of the matter is, it doesn't matter if she is one day pregnant or 9 months, it doesn't qualify for expedite. Period.
