The medical from what I understand so far (just got off the phone) will be completed today. Got blood drawn, tests, and immunizations all today as of 9:00. Will keep you posted.

Yes on Thursdays and Fridays if you get there super early you do have a shot at a one day completion.

Still only two days to get it to USEM, but that is a better shot than one day.

Hope it works for you.

Way cool! Done in one day. My wife was done in one day as well, got her vaccinations that same afternoon.

Ready to go. Medical done yesterday she has the papers and they assured her the embassy would have by end of the day. Getting the Cenomar today from sisters house and we are ready for Tuesday.

That's great, especially considering the conventional wisdom that it can't be done.

Please let us know the end result because this is of interest to the rest of us, especially those who would be crunched for time as you apparently are.

It is a gamble, sometimes the file makes it for the interview, sometimes it doesn't ... I know of a few that did the medical only a day or three before the interview that were lucky and the file got there for the interview, but I know of more where they ended up waiting.

it will be interesting to see how this one goes.

This should not take precedent and must not be followed as an example. As it has been done a lot of times, and the most recent case waited for almost a month after the interview before the issued status was given. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/487736-post-interview/

And as Hank said, more people end up waiting for several weeks before the issuance. There was even one case I read months before where a sputum culture was required, so we can't really say.

As far as I know, SLEC staff also doesn't stamp rush on everybody who has a very close interview date. There must be a valid reason why she was given priority. Good to hear though that Petelito's fiancee had a positive experience. I met somebody during my medical, who will have an interview 3 days later. She was entertained at the same pace as I was, and since I was ahead in line of her, I finished faster. People who intend to follow in the future should not expect the same outcome as this.

To Petelito and fiancee, it must have been an adrenaline rush for you guys yesterday! All the best to the upcoming interview.

I agree. This has been as they say hoping to make in on "A wing and a prayer". I would have rather done the week before medical but we missed that bullet point on Hank's instructions as well as grabbed the first available appointment that popped up. This has been 99.9% luck so far that it has gone without any hitches and I would not recommend anyone cutting it this close unless they have plenty of antacids. So far the luck o' the Irish has prevailed. Adrenaline rush for sure. Not sure how she got the Rush status but I will take it.
