Hi All

I am currently waiting for my AOS from my K1 visa. I filed last July. I have recieved my EAD and AP card. But still not my green card.

I have already filed a service request and spoke with a tier 2 person but with no luck in finding my case. I just get told they are still looking.

Do you think it is worth scheduling an Infopass appointment?

I am at the Raleigh NC office.

Thanks for your help.

Some AOS from K-1 have been taking about a year. It is frustrating, but I wouldn't waste time calling people because nothing will come of it.

You can live normally with your EAD and AP.

Good luck.

Are you sure? AOS-pending people can attend school.

This.

Show them your documentation and evidence you are waiting for your AOS to go through. That should suffice for your enrollment.

I have sent them all of the evidence I have lets see what they say.

If you get a negative back, call them and speak to someone in person. It is possible that the admissions person knows little about 'foreign' students other than the I-2 and F visas, so you may need to rebut a possible refusal by explaining what your particular situation is. Don't let this stand in the way of your education!!

Agreed with Gegel and Harpa. F and M visa holders don't have a GC anyways.

p.s. I'm also looking at graduate schools. Hope you update us if they did accept your EAD/AP card for enrollment. :)
