Welcome to the thread! I can't think of any reason it would be routed to CSC if it's already going to NSC. NSC is fastest anyway, currently.

You might get really lucky. One person from Philippines has already gotten her NOA2 for this month!

Thanks! I really hope so... :) Good luck to all of us. I hope everything goes well. :)

Hi everyone! I sent out the I-130 package for my husband and myself on May 2nd, from here in Vancouver at my local post office... and not a peep yet. The thing is, I realized earlier this week, is I don't remember where I put the package tracking info. I was so worked up and nervous about finally handing over the package and... I don't know what happened, but it's not in my wallet where I usually keep important receipts, so... I'll have to see if the cheque has been deposited (which involves calling up my US bank, because I no longer have my online login, because I so rarely use that account). I saw on some other threads that the NOA1 can take as much as a month. I also saw something about just calling to get my case number, which might make more sense if the cheque has been deposited. I did attach a G-1145, too. Any thoughts would be appreciated! Glad to have so many nice people on this thread :)

Received e-notification today. We got Nebraska Service Center. Looking forward to receiving NOA1 via mail. :)

Btw, is there a chance it will be routed to California?

Hi KrishMT, I'm with NotATailor on that one - I'm doubtful they will transfer your case. You can expect a fairly swift NOA2 due to your home country too! Let us know when you receive it.

Well how about that. Less than two hours after writing this, we got the USCIS Acceptance Confirmation email! Wow!!! They must be reading this thread ;)

Hi Emily and/or James! Welcome to the thread. Guess the saying "patience is a virtue" has some weight behind it! Which service center did they route you to?

You're more than welcome.

From my perspective, we're all heading towards the same thing, so I feel as though we have a responsibility to inform, assist and encourage each other. More importantly, it can be such a gruelling process to go through, so it's important we all stay positive - positivity spreads!

Heh, maybe I'll come hang around here in the future. I'm an April filer, but 95% of my April buddies filed from abroad and got auto-expedited -- happy for them, but it's a little lonely in the thread now. You guys seem really optimistic about Nebraska! That depresses me no end... September 30th I'm going to lose my job. I really need it approving late September/early October. Does anyone think I can submit an expedite when the time comes, based on the grounds of financial loss? I'm going to have to move into my mother's house, and I won't be able to commit to any other job due to my visa being in process.

Well, September is a long time away. I don't think you can do anything right now (or then everyone would get an expedite as soon as they file, resulting in no one being expedited?), but maybe you could try that if things don't improve when it gets closer to that date? I'm not sure what's going to happen but I'm hoping there are not as many December filers for example (what with the holidays and everything) and things speed up a bit in the near future.

Yeah I meant when we hit the five month mark. I know that governments lie but really... This blatantly? USCIS reported May 6th that Nebraska was inside its processing timeframe;

Oh, yeah... well... the positive thing about that is that when you hit the five month mark I think you can start calling or doing service requests online because you qualify as being outside of normal processing time. I think some people have had luck with that. On the other hand, November filers that call are being told that they're working "on November 5th" (but that doesn't make a lot of sense because if you look at what I linked earlier, all kinds of November dates are being approved in no particular order).

October was the month where all the transfers and weird stuff happened so maybe they're still recovering from that. I was a little worried because it seems we're ALL being sent to NSC right now (except people who file from abroad), but I think it depends on the month. A lot of March filers, for example, were sent to TSC. If you look here they seem to be completing an increasing number of cases each month...

Yeah, I'd read that a lot of cases were transferred from Vermont to Texas then for K1 petitions as Vermont had a huge backlog. I'm aware that that was roughly the time Typhoon Haiyan hit, so USCIS (quite rightly) would have put beneficiaries from the Philippines at the top of the pile. Another one of our posters, jsumner86 also told us they had been working on a huge backlog from 2012. She filed in May 2013 and recently got her NOA2.

Forgive my moment of despair there! Hopefully we're at the beginning of the tide turning and we'll be processed within time. I'm going to try and remain optimistic.

I think that only financial loss on the part of the USC counts for expedition, unfortunately. I wouldn't be depending on an approval in September/October. Five months from now is October (mid-late) for USCIS and then it's another 8-10 weeks, probably, until the interview. I'd look for seasonal work, personally, if I were you. Save as much as you can, now, while you're employed and look for seasonal retail starting mid-October, which should take you through the second week in January before post-Christmas lay-offs.

Hi Emily and/or James! Welcome to the thread. Guess the saying "patience is a virtue" has some weight behind it! Which service center did they route you to?

California! We're in Vancouver, planning to move to San Francisco where I'm from in just under a year. Unless, of course we need more time, which we're hoping won't be the case.

Emily
