JUST found this thread! Paid both AOS and 260 fees and filed 260 about a week and a half ago. Mailing our supporting docs on Tuesday. Hoping for no checklist! Good luck to all of you! This will all be over before we know it!

Wowww Flash9153 that is good news.

So happy for you :)

Do you mind to tell me when did they received your AOS & supporting docs at NVC?

I mean did you have to wait for 60 days or your case completed earlier than that?

One more time Congrates :)

They received my AOS and supporting documents on January 23rd, and then the status of AOS fees changed to N/A on March 13th. So technically I didn't have to wait full 60days for them to review all the documents. But I still haven't received an email confirmation or interview date for my wife yet. I suppose it is just speculation that the case is complete, until we get something more solid from the NVC or the Consulate.

5/1/2014: I-130 Sent (Nebraska Service Center)

5/23/2015: US Entry :jest:

3/1/2017: Filed i-751 (California Service Center,  transferred to National Benefits Center on 3/13/2018)

2/23/2018: Filed N-400 online at Chicago, IL
10/03/2018: i751-N400  combo interview successful

11/05/2018: Completed Oath Ceremony, Certificate of Naturalization in hand! :jest:

Not A Tailor

I received email from NVC stating check list

They want another joint sponsor/affidavit of support. I just don't know why?

Based on their website ---- http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/I-864P.pdf. Poverty for affidavit of support I showed more income then it is require.

Do I now have to wait another 60 days? Is there anything else I can do?

Can't my husband shows more documents during interview?

PLEASE HELP....what should I do now beside sending another joint sponsor?

Thanks Flash9153..

I called NVC & they told me that my case is already completed last Friday May 13th.

For more sponsor / affidavit support docs I do not have to wait 60 days & I do not send docs to them.

They are scheduling interview for my husband and my husband can provide those documents during interview.

Now I have to send all the docs to my husband before interview so he can take it with him.

The lady at NVC told me I do not have to worry at all anymore. Case is completed and they are just waiting for spot to open so they can schedule interview for my husband.

SOOOOOOOOO HAPPY.... :) Yayyyyyy

Thank you so much though for everything :)

I have no idea. I'm actually way behind you guys. Being Canadian, I chose to use electronic processing, which is SUPPOSED to be the fast route at NVC. It's not. People from early February scan dates are beginning to trickle in with case complete, whereas I, at January 12 scan date, have no updates and have been told not to expect any updates to my case until at LEAST next week.

Met in 2010 on a forum for a mutual interest. Became friends.
2011: Realized we needed to evaluate our status as friends when we realized we were talking about raising children together.

2011/2012: Decided we were a couple sometime in, but no possibility of being together due to being same sex couple.

June 26, 2013: DOMA overturned. American married couples ALL have the same federal rights at last! We can be a family!

June-September, 2013: Discussion about being together begins.

November 13, 2013: Meet in person to see if this could work. It's perfect. We plan to elope to Boston, MA.

March 13, 2014 Married!

May 9, 2014: Petition mailed to USCIS

May 12, 2014: NOA1.
October 27, 2014: NOA2. (5 months, 2 weeks, 1 day after NOA1)
October 31, 2014: USCIS ships file to NVC (five days after NOA2) Happy Halloween for us!

November 18, 2014: NVC receives our case (22 days after NOA2)

December 17, 2014: NVC generates case number (50 days after NOA2)

December 19, 2014: Receive AOS bill, DS-261. Submit DS-261 (52 days after NOA2)

December 20, 2014: Pay AOS Fee

January 7, 2015: Receive, pay IV Fee

January 10, 2015: Complete DS-260

January 11, 2015: Send AOS package and Civil Documents
March 23, 2015: Case Complete at NVC. (70 days from when they received docs to CC)

May 6, 2015: Interview at Montréal APPROVED!

May 11, 2015: Visa in hand! One year less one day from NOA1.

I wouldn't be surprised if those right wing Texans were delaying your case on purpose. Keep checking with their customer support on at least weekly basis. The only consolation with your case is at least you can travel freely between US and Canada. Our anniversary is coming up on April 10th, and it doesn't seem like my wife is going to get an interview date before that, so we'll be celebrating on Skype.

our anniversary was spent similarly. I may be able to traverse freely, but we're still on opposite ends of the continent. It still costs hundreds and hundreds of dollars. We've spent thousands in visits in the past year.

A Canadian got case complete at NVC today. Scan Date of December 31st. People from other countries that don't use electronic processing with scan dates from February 5 are now getting through.

Interestingly we also got case complete on the 25th, and interview for May 12th. This puts us at almost one year from filing the petition to the interview date...we're incredibly ecstatic!
