Hello Guys,

Finally I checked USCIS status & it is referring as POST ACTIVITY & it state that On November 4, 2014, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN.

I am soooo happy.

I know pPL hv been telling me to look NVC process for next step.

Does anyone has any idea how long does it take after receiving NOA 2?

Is that process too long? I mean are they looking for lot of stuff which take lot of time to gather it & process & all?

Congratulations new approvals! Three! That's wonderful!

Next stage is NVC. It'll take a few weeks or maybe even a month for them to receive your case and generate a case number. Then there are forms to fill. The first is a form that basically is a 'how do we contact you?' form. Then you wait for them to open up the portal to you for you to pay the AOS fee. Then I think you fill out a form. Then the IV fee opens up and you pay it. Then I think there's another form and you send in ALL the things they ask for. They will ask for ORIGINALS of everything they ask for, so make sure right now that you have an original birth certificate for both petitioner and beneficiary spare to send in. Original marriage certificate. Etc. Then you wait some more. It takes about 60 days after they receive these documents, minimum. There's a better wiki up at the top.

NVC is slow right now, taking sometimes five months to get through all of this.

Thank you for reply & help.

Where do I go now to check status or how can I find out when USCIS have send my file to NVC?

uscis may put a date of shipping up on the 'my case status' tool on their website, but sometimes they forget. About two weeks after you receive noa2 you can start calling nvc to find out if they have it yet. They may not have it, but they may. If after a month they haven't received it, call uscis to ask what's going on.
