Nyala, pls what was thr RFE about? I asked because we have a kid too, α̲̅πϑ I just remembered now that we forgot Τ̣̣̥☺ include his CRBA α̲̅πϑ US passport photocopies Τ̣̣̥☺ our I 130 petition

My friend ogbeifun, don't be scared, my RFE was about "Proof of a bona fide Father/Child relationship"...such as Money Order receipts or cancelled cheques ....etc Or affidavits and so on.....All May filers get ready for approvals now. I'm almost there.

Please help me out....my Hubby is getting worried now since we thought that process will only take about 6 months or so.

I got my hard copy of NOA 1 on June 2nd....I called Nebraska Service Center & they said that I should received my NOA 2 by Nov 2nd...

since it is completely 5 months & so far they r on time....this is what representative told me.

I been checking my timeline on VJ & it says Nov 20 to Dec 24...which one I should believe.

I been following post & many of u r getting approvals from Nebraska Center now.

Should I hope for mine soon too?

What is the procedure after NOA 2?

How long does it take after NOA 2?

I m also being impatience & want to meet my Hubby ASAP.

So the Nebraska Service Centre got hit with a backlog. They're processing slower than they mean to. They don't tend to release this information--the way they post their wait times is silly and imprecise. You're probably better to trust the VJ timeline, I think.

After NOA2, you get transferred to the National Visa Centre, where you get more forms and fees. Right now, unfortunately, the NVC is backlogged and a process that sometimes takes as little as 60 days is, according to Saylin's spreadsheet, taking up to six months right now.

Being apart from our loved ones sucks so bad. I feel your pain.

These delays seem completely bogus to me considering k-1 (fiancé) petitions are being processed in sometimes less than a month at other service centers...Alas, there is nothing to be done about it but stomp my feet some more - in private, of course. Lol.

K-1 is considered non-immigrant is the excuse they give.

The delays are ridiculous. Completely so. It sucks. Personally, we've written to our congressman and senators about the delays in general. Not asking for anything particular with our case or to jump the line, but to try and raise some level of awareness about the stupid of the situation.

All we've done is write them basically going 'the service centres clearly have totally different wait times. Can you look into this and find out why their caseloads are so skewed?'

Finally got the AOS fees unlocked at NVC, paid it but the IV fees still not showing up to pay. It's a bit frustrating because I was hoping to send everything in together since they now seem to be reviewing both packages together. When I spoke to someone at NVC two weeks back, I was told I needed my husbands' police certificate however now I've been told twice on different calls that it isn't needed.

Some people say it should be approved at NVC within 60 days and now I'm reading that it may take up to six months. This is ridiculous. All that money and taxes that we pay, we can't even be with our loved ones. Our first anniversary is coming up and really have been praying that we can be together but it doesn't seem like we'll get everything done by January.

I try to keep myself cheered up on most days, just planning stuff out with my husband for when he's here and other times i wonder why I'm planning so early as we don't even know how long it'll take before he gets here. :/
