Hi all,

Did anyone send file the I-130 in May?

We sent it on 5/6/2014 and just received our NOA1 today!!

Vermont seems to be the second quickest service center to NOA2, after Nebraska. You can check out processing times for each service center at each step of the process on the following link.

Really happy to hear that! I think more cases are being routed to Nebraska than the other centers - possibly to rebalance the workloads between them? Just a speculative guess.

Now we play the waiting game anyway! Here's to a swift NOA2 for you.

I'd suspect it's to rebalance the workloads. Here's hoping that it doesn't massively slow Nebraska!

According to the vj guidelines, I have to submit 3 G-325A forms? 2 for I-130 and another one with I-1485? just making sure I understood right. Thank you

The processing times still look decent, but I guess that's dependent on people updating their timelines. Either way, still the quickest!

Hi MrsHall99! If you're submitting your I-130, you should include the I-130 form itself, one G-325a form for both the applicant and petitioner (you and your spouse), and a G-1145 (E-Notification of Acceptance) clipped to the front of your I-130.

I knooooow. There's a possibility, though small, that I might be home by my birthday in February. I probably won't, but it's a possibility at all and I figured I was looking at at LEAST next May.

I wouldn't be too pessimistic! I've taken voluntary redundancy from my job for the pay out... I'm remaining optimistic I'll be there prior to the new year. The I-130 goal is 5 months and the NVC processing time is largely dependent on the applicant's swiftness in response, so, I'm remaining hopeful. My NVC package is pretty much ready to go. My wife's coming over in June so I'm going to give it to her so when she returns home, we can ship it from America when the time comes so valuable weeks aren't wasted waiting for it to ship over. I'm damn determined to not be stuck in this convoluted process longer than I need to be!

G-325A one from the Petitioner and another from Beneficiary (me)

I-485

I-693 in a sealed envelope by Civil Surgeon

I-864 Affidavit of Support

I-765 Employment Authorization

G-325A filled up by Beneficiary (me) ...? I didn't know this until I went to review the vj guidelines.

G-1145 E-Notification

And of course all the documentation in copies required plus passport pictures and few pictures of us together in vacation, holidays, with our families. I read somewhere that it is also required to write a brief story on how we met and when we got married. Is this correct or not really necessary?

I am pretty much confirming what else should I include or what am I missing to be able to send package tomorrow.

You're welcome - but I see you're applying for adjustment of status, rather than a CR-1 visa which is what this thread is for! I'm sorry, I'm not really all that knowledgable on that process, but I'd suggest reposting your query in another forum. What visa did you enter the US on?
