What helps them move faster?

How is Nebraska working? They all say 5 months wait.

Yeah so 5 months is the minimum wait. Check the timeline and see the member updated info to see the last member updated case date. But remember, that's only for those registered here and those who actually keep up to date.

Any Mays fillers with approvals yet? its 3months already α̲̅πϑ still on initial review. God help me.

Hi! USCIS aims to process all I-130 petitions within 5 months, so you might be waiting until October. I'd consider other options like writing to your congressman if you pass that point.

Those that got approved in May/June may be filers fr the Philippines. You should bear in mind that cases from there are being expedited after Typhoon Haiyan in November last year.

The NVC/interview stage can take any length of time really, because it's more dependent on you paying the appropriate fees and submitting paperwork. It's usually around three months, but I'm aware that the NVC are also back logged at the moment.

Writing your congressman a letter is beneficial because, if they choose, they can contact the USCIS service center your petition is with and ask for progress on it. More often than not that means that they pull it out of the pile and process it. Also, if you're over the five month mark you can raise a service request with USCIS directly to ask for your case to be looked at, but they have a month from then to do something about it (or so I've read).

No mine wasn't expedited. I don't know why it went so quick! From everything I read, I didn't expect to be at NVC until November.

What evidence did you sent in? You should be really happy. So jealous right now.

I sent in all my documents in two portfolio like files with a clear cover. At the front I had our I130 forms and communication form etc, and then behind that was a table of contents page that listed everything with a separate tab and had details of what was behind each tab.

Behind one tab I had birth certificates, passport pictures and copies, and marriage certificate. Identification documents. Another tab represented co-mingling of financial affairs and had bank statements going back to 2007 (only included a few statements over the years) showing we share our finances and have for quite some time. I included bank loan for our house and a payslip for both of us that was deposited into a shared bank account. I also showed paperwork where we built our house and both signed documents back in 2010.

Another tab showed trips we have taken since 2006. We have been to usa 3 times, japan once, Thailand once and I included itineraries and travel insurance for some of the trips.

Another tab included 3 affidavits from a family member, and two friends.

And last I included a tab followed by pictures with dates and brief details of the picture. Some were from our wedding in January 2012, others were from holidays we have taken, and family gatherings here in Australia and USA.

I have paid the AoS fee last night so now I am waiting on that to be processed.

My lawyer is adamant that my evidence of bonafide marriage isn't required until the interview stage at the consulate, regardless of everything I've read to the contrary, so he didn't send a hell of a lot in. I am impatiently waiting for something from USCIS. I really don't want to get bogged down in RFEs but am expecting to. Just wish we'd see more May filers getting a little traction right now. I'd feel a little better ;)

But isn't most of the stuff needed for after the approval letter comes? Because most of the documents you sent in are required for NVC.. So I'm just wondering if sending it in early helps the process move quicker? Do all the documents you sent in get transferred to NVC along as well?

So you have to resend the package to NVC as well? That's my question since it seems that you already sent in the required documents with your I-130.
