this is what we saw in USCIS website today.

WE shipped this approved or re affirmed case to the department of state for visa processing.

does this mean that the next step is NVC now and wait for them to received the package and wait and call again for the case number?... thank you kababayan for answering my question ;) god bless us all ;)

Yay! Yes, it's on its way to NVC... Some VJers suggest that we call after two weeks to check if they have the package. Then after knowing they received the package, wait maximum of 30 days before calling them for the case#.

While waiting, you can start reading up Saylin's wiki:

Hi there,

Im new to this; My fiance and I were going to do the K1 Visa, but on my last trip to the USA we got married! Happiest day of my life! So now we are alternating courses on the VISA and have opted to do I-130. Can someone post pics of their binders so we have a good idea what to look for? I am Paralegal by trade so admin is my speciality lol...but all the fears are creeping in as we have yet to devlelope the comimgling of assets as we are newly married and we dont have much to mingle at the moment....I hope to hear more about your experinces, as a new person (I am Canadian and Husband is American) I look forward on meeting more people as we move forward with this most scary exerience of our lives as I love this man and more then anything want to spend the rest of my life with the pest! lol

Cheers,

Phaedria

Hello, when checking my case status I get this message

"Post Decision Activity

On June 20, 2014, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283."

We mailed off the i130 at the end of May, we received the first notice that they have our info, but we are still waiting on the noticed that the petition is approved. I'm guessing from the status update that should arrive any day.

What are our next steps exactly? Do I act next or will they contact me?

Thanks

The NBI as far as I can tell just need as close to updated as possible, figure as long as it's not out of date when submitted that is the best you can do. Other then that, two days and I'll be calling NVC for update. What really gets me, is it took NVC took two weeks to tell me they received the package. That though just means it all comes together and we the happy spouses will finally be reunited with our significant others sooner then other people have in the past. We may complain, but imagine still being stuck at Nebraska or California and knowing you have another 4-8 months to wait.

Just got off the phone with NVC! Got my case number, but need to wait for email with instructions... Tried the website and it said the same thing when I entered the case number. So now I await another two weeks. Time NOA 2 May 20th, NVC recieved June 2nd, case number assigned July 2nd. Hopefully get the billing/instructions on the July 17th at the latest since they say two weeks. Hope that helps you all who are wondering about the next step.
