Just reporting in: husband had his medical today in Montreal and everything went fine!

...now he has to chill in montreal for a week because he lives too far to make the trip to and from again.

1/15/2013 - Married

USCIS:
4/11: Mailed out IR-30 via FedEx Ground
4/15: Forms received by USCIS Chicago (Signed)

12/2: Case Transferred to CSC

12/17/2013: NOA-2!!!! (8 Months, 2 days)

NVC:

12/27/2013: Case received by NVC

1/23/2014: NVC Case #, BIN, & IIN received.

1/31/2014: DS-261 Available & filled out.

2/4/2014: AOS Invoice available & paid

2/7/2014: I-864(AOS) completed & sent

2/11/2014: IV Bill availiable and paid.

2/14/2014: DS-260 completed (IV)

2/14/2014: DS-260 support documents sent

2/26/2014: I-864 (AOS) documents received and logged by NVC.

3/4/2014: Checklist for AOS ( I knew it :|a)

3/5/2014: Checklist for AOS submitted

Congrats! So when can she start working? Upon reciept of SSN or must wait for the green card? Just asking for my hubby. He keeps asking me and I don't know the answer. He wants to work right away. He needs to feel manly!! Lol! :)

Its better to have both and then start looking for work.

If the cbp officer, stamps the I-551 stamp on his passport on arrival, then he is good to go after getting the SSN. no need to wait for actual GC.

 Nothing special. It's the stamp they give you when you enter as first time immigrant. It serves as your "green card" until your physical GC arrives.

Well looks like NVC may be starting up July interviews someone for Pakistan just posted they got July 1st. Start calling people report back.

Just a quick question. Is there any problems with having the medical checkup before receiving the interview date? In Jakarta the medical checkup results is valid for 6 months and in some cases 3 months.

If your medical allows it without interview letter you can try. Just kind of risky since you know you may or may not get an interview and you have all that lost time. The medical is good for a year. However to enter the US it has to be within 6 months of medical.

good question it has been by case complete date. I have seen when there are a few with same case complete date the receipt date at USCIS seems to come in handy. But that Case Complete trumps it all.
