For some reason, I'm really not feeling the urge to call today at all!

Something inside me is really calm today! Stange, very strange! So not like me at all! What the heck happened to me???????????????

I was the exact same, once I got to case complete and even more so after the interview date was scheduled. I am now not even anxious and I think it has been about a week at least since I was last on VJ. A strange calmness comes over you (or maybe sheer exhaustion) after submitting all those packets and anxiously waiting for the case complete.

March 6th 2014 - USPS shows packet was delivered at NVC

March 31st 2014 - AOS found in my Mum's file for my Dad - accepted and placed into his file/IV fee available for my Dad and Paid.

Can she get the additional vaccinations before the interview? She will probably be able to go thru' the interview but the CO will most likely ask her to send in proof of the additional vaccinations before they approve her visa.

This is why I have been suggesting everyone to get the vaccinations done way early and walk into the medicals with paperwork to show vaccinations have been completed.

I am still waiting for the interview date, my case is completed as of May 19th. However, at some point my wife will have to go through this Medical Appointment Process. Thank you for providing the suggestions. I had one questions, there are multiple vaccines listed for Vaccinations. How would we know which vaccines my wife would have to take from the list?

Hello everybody,

We got our third lucky break in this immigration process on May 22 when the US embassy emailed me to see if they can move my interview date from June 2 to June 4 because they were overbooked for June 2. Since they initiated this conversation, I took the opportunity to inform them that I had completed my medical on May 21 and had all the documents ready. I told them that I was just waiting for my interview and to be honest I would like to get it done sooner rather than later. I asked if they had interview slots available sooner than June 2? If not, I told them, I will see them on June 4. Within a few minutes I got another email saying they had an opening for May 27 if I was interested. I grabbed it.

I had my interview a few hours ago. It went really well. Our situation and my interview experience is too unique to benefit others and it will make for a very long story so I will spare everybody all the details. I will submit the sanitized version of the experience describing the embassy procedure under the Embassy/Consulate Review section soon.

Thank you once again everybody here for all their help and support.

Good Luck everybody with the upcoming interviews, next month's interview schedule and the rest of the process.

I know what you mean about the strange lethargy that takes over once you have the case complete. Maybe it's from thinking "Well thank goodness I don't have to gather any more paper together for a couple of years!"

In my many years of VJ life i noticed many emotions. It's like this.

  1. You file the I-130 and when you get NOA2 you feel you won the lottery. You know all the next steps or maybe you think you know, but suddenly all knowledge you gathered after all those months of waiting has failed you. Thus the many threads "I got NOA2 what do I do next". LOL
  2. You wait you get case# anti-climatic even though now some of the power is in your control. But the prize we seek is CASE COMPLETE.
  3. OMG Case Complete. I am euphoric. I can't think. I got to call somebody. Why won't they give me an interview now. What is their issue. I mean it's me, dwheels76 for goodness sake. i have called you everyday 3 to 4 times i know all your names Supervisor Gus, and Tammy, Jessica, and Kurt. :goofy:
  4. Now I'm waiting thinking, do I clean out the closet for him or her (if hubby coming OMG where will he put his stuff)? Waiting do I go to interview, spend that money. OMG please tell me this is just torture.
  5. Interview announcement, the first person dares, now the flood of emotions comes and people call some get it now some have to wait Oh me me me . And you hear the operator say those words and you want to cry, shout, slap somebody (well I did) hehe
  6. Now the endless wait for interview day and the reality of seeing my baby. Did I gain weight? Will they like the US? Did they miss me? Do I have a pimple (okay not serious but still) :luv:

I'm hoping to get an Interview date notice this week. Then I can start thinking about putting my notice in at work, heheh :dancing::dancing::dancing:

You mean you want to put in a notice to quit, before getting the approved visa in your hand? On second read, you are only thinking about it. I guess thinking is OK. I have told my wife to wait (to submit the 1-mo notice) until she has the passport back in her hand (with visa).

Actually, the answer also baffled me in the beginning. It seems, they are not all for adults. Adults only need 3 or 4 vaccinations. My wife took Tdap, MMR, and the Flu vaccines from her family physician a couple of weeks before the Medical. At the medical they asked her to go back to the doctor and get some more details of the vaccines like batch #, name of pharmacy etc. But after she got that, she got the Medical Report with no other problems.

Actually, if you take the list to the doctor administering the vaccine he/she will know which ones are required for adults. Some of these are adult booster doses. The whole advantage of taking the vaccinations early is so you do not have to take all of them on the same day.

In my many years of VJ life i noticed many emotions. It's like this.
